“We just do what we feel like, whenever we’re in the studio or on the stage, fuck it.” Since they started making music together in 2006, Rob and Keith have been flying with their hearts and fists first and their minds second; electro, rock, electronica, dubstep, creating new tracks and edits on the fly in their performances and waking the world up to Rocktronica.
South Central were spotted by The Prodigy in Paris and have since toured with them, then Pendulum, and supported the likes of Rage Against The Machine and Vitalic. “From Prodigy, we learnt about performing, from Pendulum, we learnt about production then we been putting it all back into what we’re doing.” The past year they’ve been touring constantly playing their own shows all over the world from Sonicmania in Japan to London Warehouse Events / Spectrum in London, from Machine du Moulin Rouge in Paris to Monegros in Spain and Tomorrowland in Belgium.
South Central are about to release their second EP with Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak Records. The first, Weapons Of Mass Dubstortion EP, steadily climbed the Beatport release chart achieving top 3 for 8 consecutive weeks and was hammered by the likes of Knife Party, Kill The Noise and Mistajam. The second EP, Hollywood EP, will be released November the 9th and already has massive support from Knife Party, Borgore and Modestep.
With remixes for Nero, Steve Aoki and The Prodigy under their belt and upcoming remixes for DJ Fresh, Drumsound & Bassline Smith ft Haduoken and Joachim Garraud, South Central have a busy schedule in the coming months including putting the finishing touches to some surprises and playing around the world at shows including Mixmag Live at Fire, The Loft in Barcelona, Keller Club in Stuttgart and another tour of Asia.
