Sound of Stereo
Years of hard work continue to pay off for duo SOUND OF STEREO, and this sentiment is echoed with the release of the “Origin/Terminal” remix package, a chill and vibey set of tracks that manages to pack a punch while maintaining a low-key level of scintillating solidarity. The package breathes new life into the original EP with remixes by COLD BLANK, CYBERPUNKERS, MIGHTYFOOLS, ASTRONOMAR, and CRAIG WILLIAMS. The remixes are allowed the freedom of being more bass-driven and even a tad darker, especially in the case of the Craig Williams remix of “Terminal.” Crisp and gleaming, the remixes provided by the five contrasting producers will appeal to a variant of tastes and top choice music enthusiasts.
Call it a musical movement, a rebellion against mainstream dance or a new way of looking at club music. Whatever it was, a fresh breeze of electronic music emerged around 2007, led by artists such as ‘Justice’, ‘Boys Noize’, ‘Crookers’, ‘The Bloody Beetroots’ and ‘Soulwax’. Jochen Sablon and Vincent De Boeck found themselves in the midst of this musical revolution. And after They started workings together, it has been one hell of a ride. Touring the globe and playing events like Tomorrowland (BE), I love Techno (BE), Electric daisy Festival (USA), Future Music festival (OZ) made them one of Belgain’s finest electronic music acts of the last few years. Make sure to tighten your laces before listening to their releases on Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak, Lektroluv- and Turbo recordings because they will knock you of your feet. A lot has changed over the five years. But some things will never. Their passion for electronic music and their drive to push boundaries. Never satisfied, always looking ahead. Make sure to keep an eye on Sound of Stereo.
