Today, Los Angeles native and producer/ DJ Clockwork releases his Surge EP on Dim Mak Records, two tracks of dynamic melody anchored in the undulating low-end that typifies modern Electro House. With his unapologetic big room aesthetic, the New York City-based performer…
Today Proxy released his second LP of the Music from the Eastblock Jungles. After the first release the Russian artist is set to take you to his next journey of dark synths and vibes. The release will be followed by a European Tour.
Part 2 forces an unconditional surrender with a mix of acid (“Audio 15″), ambient (“Nanomed”), Eastern-flavored pop (“Coke”) and hip-hop inflected head-nodders (“9000″). The second part has been crowned by Mixmag as “Electro album of the month. 5/5”.
Today one of Dim Mak Records’ superstars, TAI, released his “Tailand” EP. This EP that the German electro producer has put out consists of two original smooth electro house tracks (“Tailand” and “Burnout”) and one remix of “Tailand” by Peking duK. With the “Chili Bamboo”…
“Walk In The Fire” is metal/drum & bass track which combines the best of two worlds. “Walk in the Fire” kicks off with a guttural guitar grind before coalescing into an electro dubstep break fueled by screams and wild production. Setting the dance floor ablaze like never before, it injects a healthy helping of heavy metal intensity into a drum n’ bass dubstep monster that claws right out of the box. This pure and raw track consists full of energy which will give you a boost for the entire day and night. It will both satisfy the metal- and dub-heads out there, so if you have a friend that’s not fully convinced of the power of electronic music, this track might give them the little boost they need. Schoolboy comes with a Knife Party-like electro remix and Culprate makes an intense dubstep version out of it.
The EP release is the latest release before their long-awaited Full Length “Irreverrence” comes out on Dim Mak Records on March 19th.
Following the release of “Irreverence”, Dirtyphonics will embark on their North American “Irreverence Tour.” Launching March 27 in Vancouver, the 30+ date tour will take them through many major markets as well as anticipated performances at this year’s Coachella where they will perform both weekends Sunday, April 14 and Sunday, April 21. Their live show is a full-on sensory experience more akin to seeing your favorite band than a typical EDM act. They bring a level of energy that’s rare in modern music. A limited amount of tickets for all upcoming US dates are immediately available for purchase direct from Dirtyphonics at: http://dirtyphonics.frontgatetickets.com
Today the official music video of Phat Brahms (Directed by Lionel DUPONT, winner of Genero.TV‘s Phat Brahms music video contest) was released. MTVU had the honor to premiere it during MTV Clubland.
Watch the video below. You can now order Phat Brahms and Phat Brahms Remixes on iTunes!
Even though this track doesn’t come out until March 5th on Dim Mak Records, it’s no doubt that it’s already becoming a true Trap classic. Keys N Krates‘ “Treat Me Right” has been played dozens of times already by the likes of TNGHT and everybody is jumping for the track to be released. Annie Mac had the honor to premiere it during her BBC Radio 1 show this last weekend.
Over the last year, Keys N Krates toured with and played alongside artists including; Pretty Lights, Lotus, Skrillex, Girl Talk, Kid Cudi, Metric, Timbaland, Zed’s Dead and more. In 2012 the band continued to make an impact on the festival scene, playing major shows at Wakarusa, Ultra Music Festival, Movement Festival, Osheaga and Sonar in Barcelona. The band also produced several hype machine chart topping remixes for Bassnectar, Adventure Club, Zeds Dead and Nelly Furtado.
To really grasp what Tune, Matisse, and Jr. Flo bring to the stage, you have to see it up close. Their shows are filled with high-energy sets that are made to be witnessed live. The guys continue to craft and grow their sound and style, exposing audiences worldwide to the Keys N Krates experience.
You can listen to the radio rip below.
Hot Mouth is back and with an awesome remix of Angger Dimas’s and Oliver Twizt’s big tune XXX. This production has a unique feel while absolutely destroying the dance floor with it’s big room, dirty electro sound. We highly recommend picking up this track when it releases on Dim Mak Records on February 26th.
The Phat Brahms Remixes EP just came out a week ago and we’re very happy to see that some remixes are storming the Beatport Electro House charts!
– Dmitri Vegas & Like Mike vs Steve Aoki & Angger Dimas – Phat Brahms (Cold Blank Remix) is on #13
– Dmitri Vegas & Like Mike, Coone Ft. Lil Jon – Madness is on #17
– Dmitri Vegas & Like Mike vs Steve Aoki & Angger Dimas – Phat Brahms (Wolfpack Remix) is on #82

If you didn’t have a chance to make it out to Dim Mak Studios this past Tuesday then you’re in for a special treat. We had one of our writers, Jenna Browning cover the night to remind you all of what you missed out on. You can also check out upcoming events at Dim Mak Studios here. Enjoy!
“Tuesday nights at Dim Mak Studios are always a special time, not only because of the artists that grace the stage but also because of the people who fill the club. The crowd that comes to Tuesday nights just likes to get down, and that’s exactly what they did at Dan Sena’s EP Release Party featuring Trap-A-Holics.
Man-of-the-hour, Mr. Dan Sena himself was first to kick things off in the main room. His set featured a little bit of everything from hard hitting dub step bass to danceable drum kicks that showcased some great
vocal samples. Sena hit you right in the heart with his bass drops but showed a lot of restraint as well when he would pull back the beat and let the samples speak for themselves. Everybody is doing dub step these days, but to have a consistent melody throughout the song is a hard skill to master, and Sena did it wondrously. A highlight was definitely his dropping A-Trak’s “Like A Dance Floor” as well as when he slowed down the beat to “All The Way Turned Up.” Sena ended his set right with “Hold On” By Monsta which had the club grooving.
Next up on the decks was DJ Slink who brought the bass level even higher when he laid down his Trap mix. Slink did a good job of turning classic songs into his own like Pharrell’s “Everybody Nose,” where he turned a familiar chorus line into a robotic style voice that definitely had a unique stamp on it. He played other popular classics as well like Dead Prez’s “Hip Hop,” which had the tables shaking with the earth quaking bass. He ended his set with a performance from rapper Whisky Pete who rapped live over Slinks beats until he threw down his final jam “Shook Pt II,” which is always a solid classic.
After Slink’s set ended and you thought the bass went up as high as it could, Trapaholics took the stage in a Fatal Crew T-shirt and cranked it up even higher. The set was perfect for both old and new trap fans alike, as Trapaholics’s song selection was like a magical journey through the genre. He paid homage to Waka Flocka, Rick Ross, Three 6 Mafia and pretty much everyone else who ever had anything to do with making Trap popular. He played all the classics from Trinidad James’s “All Gold Everything,” to “Trap House” by Gucci Mane, to “Respect Me,” by Rick Ross. He threw down bass that got you to bob your head in the dirtiest of ways with a stank grin on your face while you moved your feet almost unconsciously. This wasn’t your normal type of bass; it was some heavy hitting deepness that welled up in your throat.
All in all, it was a night of epic bass in all its glorious forms. Everyone who stuck around to catch all the sets definitely danced the night away to hard-hitting beats and not to mention the sick visual cubes that were video-mixed live by the masters behind the Dim Mak Studios sound booth. ” – Jenna Browning
We’re proud to present a new section on the Dim Mak blog called “Holland Days with Jamal”. In these weekly series our newest intern Jamal will interview various artists and at the same time learn a lot about the American culture and the Dim Mak family.
Jamal’s first interview is with Trap artist SALVA, who will be playing at the Steve Aoki x Grammy After Party. SALVA is mostly known for his legendary remix with RL Grime of Kanye West’s “Mercy”. To buy tickets for the Grammy After Party, click here.
Hi Salva, how are you doing on this fine and sunny day?
Whats the meaning behind the Pope as your profile photo? Do you just love him that much?
Yeah I wanted to be the pope when I was a little kid… Haha for real though.
How did the process of the Mercy remix you did with RL Grime go?
I had the idea when I was in the studio at Power 106 when Big Sean premiered the original “Mercy”.. I was sitting there remembering that Madlib and Dilla used that reggae sample before. Brought RL in to do the track with me because we started working together recently, I remixed one of his tracks for Wedidit and I was always playing his stuff out… so we collabed on it and didn’t think too much about it.. Just had fun with it and it came out really good.
Did you think the remix would take off like it did? How much did it impact your life/career?
Yeah it’s helped get me a lot of exposure for sure..thankful for that.. just really helped me get in front of bigger crowds — been DJing all my life so it was a good platform to show kids what I do.
Are you still running around coloring the streets? If so where can we see some of your work?
No haha I don’t paint.
J Dilla’s birthday was today (February 7th). How important is he as a person to you?
Really big influence on all of us who were into golden era Hip Hop to modern underground stuff…his productions, his rap. He produced so many classics, if you were into Hip Hop at all the past 20 years — whether you know it or not you love Dilla’s music.
Don’t you just hate that remake of “Fright Night”?
Ha yeah it really wasn’t the best.. The OG is my fave though, of course.
Are we going to see you scratching during the Dim Mak Sundays night this Sunday February 10th?
A little bit maybe, I’ve been kinda forced into using CD-Js as of late, turntables are dissapearing accross the world!!!
Would you say that Bucharest, Romania is the best place to party? And why?
Kids just go really hard there, and the average party goer probably knows more about new electronic music than I do…they’re just really hungry for what’s next there for some reason.
How awesome was it when Pusha T came and did his verse over your remix during RBMA Culture Clash?
Yeah that was probably one of the best things that came out of doing the “Mercy” remix for sure.. He’s the illest man what can I say!! Pusha just shines on everybody.
What are the future releases on the Frite Nite label you’d like to tell us about?
We have really cool things popping, more underground style — for instance Jimmy Edgar and Adbourke remixes of The Starship Connection record we did last year, and an EP from Ana Sia that is really cracking tribal bass stuff.
Are you excited for your show this Sunday? Any surprises up your sleeve?
Probably no Pusha T this time hahaha (but maybe again soon).. nah I’m just gonna do me, I’ve wanted to come play Drai’s for a minute.. feel it’s gonna be a good platform to play some big rap songs and some banging dance tracks too. Very excited… and it’s GRAMMY’S NIGHT!!

PART II forces an unconditional surrender with a mix of acid (“Audio 15″), ambient (“Nanomed”), Eastern-flavored pop (“Coke”) and hip-hop inflected head-nodders (“9000″). The second part has been crowned by Mixmag as “Electro album of the month. 5/5”.
They say “It follows on from the first part, which was released in November of last year, and is a sterling showcase of the Russian producer’s slamming take on electro. You have been warned. This one’s a ripper. And to celebrate its release, Mixmag has the exclusive first play.”

“Phat Brahms” has traveled a long way since its initial creation in 2012. The dynamic track created by Steve Aoki, Angger Dimas vs. Dimitiri Vegas & Like Mike was produced during a late night on the 2012 Deadmeat Tour and later debut at, Tomorrowland during a four way set amid Steve Aoki’s closing performance. Since the October release Phat Brahms has become a popular track among the EDM genre as a high-energy, big-room, dance floor piece, and recently we’ve release a remix package featuring nine renditions of the track from Coone, Botnek, WolfPack, 3BalMTY, and more.
Along with the release of “Phat Brahms” we’ve now produced an exclusive Phat Brahms T-Shirt! Whenever this track (or a remix) is being played during a show, you now have the right shirt to wear for this occassion! Please not that the Phat Brahms shirt is Unisex, so it’s for anyone to wear! But that’s not all! You can also wear it at work, to school, or just at home! More than enough reasons we’d say to order the shirt at the Dim Mak Shop.
We present an exclusive premiere of “Jack Hammer” which is the hard hitting new single from a collaboration between well known London producer Riton, who started DJ’ing in Newcastle at the tender age of 14, and London born but now based in Germany house artist TAI.
This track is based around a pounding beat and what does sound alot like a sampled jackhammer combined with furious, wailing synth stabs and then with the occasional bleepy horns weaved in around the breaks.
TAI is part of the Dim Mak family and has released multiple EP’s on our record label. We’ve also released Riton’s “Ritontime” EP back in 2011. On February 12th TAI will be releasing another EP on Dim Mak called “Tailand”. This EP is a 2-track EP, along with a remix by Peking Duk. You can now pre-order the “Tailand” EP on iTunes.
Life + Times & Dim Mak Records Present: #FreeFridays No. 29 – Madeon – Icarus (Keys N Krates Remix feat. Will Brennan)
Will Brennan releases his first in-house collaboration with fellow Dim Mak artists Keys N Krates, Madeon – Icarus (Keys N Krates feat. Will Brennan Remix). As Brennan states, the conception of this track stemmed from “the kind of music (he) wants to wake up to.” The song serves as an autobiography, as Brennan shares his “dreams of being rap stars captured off lunch tables at school”. The grand and driving production provided by Keys N Krates provides a perfect backdrop for Brennan’s inspirational rhymes.
Keep an eye and ear out for the next special release, followed by many more giveaways.
Oliver Queen is set to open his Starling City night club and he’s getting one of the best house musicians in the world for opening night.
Grammy nominee Steve Aoki is set to guest star on Arrow, playing himself.
In the hour — titled “The Huntress Returns” (yay), Oliver (series star Stephen Amell) has a new romance brewing, is launching his nightclub and is more content than he’s ever been since coming back from the island. But when his ex, The Huntress (Jessica De Gouw) returns to town, she “threatens to destroy everything and everyone Ollie cares about.”
During the episode the Wonderland artist and DJ will make his scripted series debut performing at the grand opening of Ollie’s club (an evening that we suspect won’t go off without a hitch).

Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo aka The Bloody Beetroots is unashamedly one of the most forward thinking musicians in the electronic music industry and his next announcement shows he has no sign of stopping. Using the team and technology behind Lady Gaga’s Little Monsters, Rifo has worked closely with US agency, Backplane, to launch the first full interactive social media platform exclusively for an electronic artist. The platform is effectively a “cultural-musical movement” which allows for artists, musicians and fans alike to join an exclusive network and share their music and art, and collaborate with others within the community.
Integrating YouTube, Soundcloud, and photos, Church of Noise is an online safe-haven enriched by the ability to upload, comment and share your own creations and have them exist as part of a congregation of similar minds. Its aim is to cultivate freedom of speech and provide a platform to be shared within a congregation and ultimately get you one step closer to Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo. Status will be awarded to more regular users starting their journey as a Rebel, a more frequent user will quickly be upgraded to an Advocate and once truly part of the revolution will become a Champion. The launch of the new platform takes place during the world premiere of the new Bloody Beetroots LIVE show in Australia, and will see the platform host an array of unseen and exclusive content relating to the new live show.
The Church Of Noise community started out in 2011 as a result of the same-titled track, originally a collaboration with Dennis Lyxzén of Swedish hardcore punk-pioneers Refused and The (International) Noise Conspiracy. The song holds a siren-call of strings, bass and lyrical manifesto: “…It only takes a sound to change the beaten path/It only takes love and courage to take it all back”… View the video HERE:
You can sign up to the platform: http://www.therealchurchofnoise.com to become part of the revolution.

So we all know that Football is probably the best thing around right now and probably won’t be over anytime soon… But before everyone was sitting in the dark, we were in beautiful Hawaii for the NFL Pro Bowl. Steve took over the streets in Waikiki the night before with a street filled performance for the NFL block party. Kids filled the streets… traffic light climbers and all. Oh yeah… remember your first friend from Myspace? He was there too. But now that JT has a hold of it, Tom spends his time traveling the world and photographing some pretty epic shit. lol about his Instagram handle: “MYSPACETOM” but hey…If it weren’t for you Tom, we’d never get the opportunity to learn HTML, Thanks. Anyways, We were invited to the Pro Bowl Game at Aloha Stadium where Steve gave Football and the Stadium a little taste of icing (since we were told to withhold from throwing any cakes) which turned out to be a…hole in one.

Today, Azari & III release their sprightly dark and echo driven track “Indigo”. Azari & III “a house music quartet who’s tracks have captured the essence of dance music’s roots back when it lurked in the dark underground nightspots” (VIBE), team up with Konrad Black and Serge Santiago to put together a pack of remixes set to skulk into the corners and grandeur of the human condition. “It’s that words cannot always adequately express the depth of the human condition, and when it all comes flooding in on you.” – Azari and III about message behind “Indigo”

After causing a bit of hysteria with a NSFW Go-Pro video full of lady topers, BXXX (pronounced Bronx) “Lies” reappears but this time with a remix by NYC based producer/DJ Dances With White Girls. BXXX first single “Lies” is a re-imagining of the Arcade Fire “Rebellion (Lies)” as a bonafide nightlife anthem.

Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Coone “Madness ft. Lil Jon” is true to the purity of it’s title; completely frenzied and insane. The track is a luxe combination of hardstyle bass, porgressive synths, house and crunk, appropriated slung in by Lil Jon.
