Deorro & Adrian Delgado – All I Need Is Your Love (Remixes)

August 19, 2014 Tim Gauthier Blog, New Music Tags: , , , , , ,

Four months after Deorro and Adrian Delgado stormed festival stages and living room stereos alike with their heartfelt, emotive collaboration “All I Need Is Your Love,” the track has been revamped in a three-part remix package courtesy of D!RTY AUD!O, TAI and ZooFunktion.

Highlighting the original tune’s warm lyrics and distorted vocals, each remixer elevates “All I Need Is Your Love” to unique and unexpected heights. While German producer TAI ups the track’s tempo and mixes in a rapid-fire drumroll hook, California-based ZooFunktion swaps out the original’s anticipatory intro for straightforward bassline assault and Dim Mak fixture D!RTY AUD!O transforms the release into a glitched-out atmospheric groove.

Ahead of the EP, Keys N Krates are presenting the first single “Are We Faded,” which is set for release August 26. About “Are We Faded,” Billboard says, “The new single, ‘Are We Faded,’ is dizzyingly sexy, pushing along at a slower tempo that’s ideal for sweaty, middle-of-the-dance-pit grooving. It’s carried by choppy female vocals that bounce around in tandem with the synths, vanishing every once in a while to let a low voice chime ‘f-f-faded.’

They have also been featured on some of the biggest and best festival stages around the world including HARD in Los Angeles, Voodoo Festival in New Orleans, and Lollapalooza in Chicago, with USA Today singling them out as emerging artists to catch.

In celebration of the Every Nite EP, Keys N Krates are embarking on a massive fall tour, co-headlining with Gladiator and with support from Thugli, that will take them across the expanse of North America. Aoki spits the truth!

August 8, 2014 Tim Gauthier Lifestyle, News Tags: , , ,

When I perform, I don’t think about the haters, the Internet trolls, or anyone else. I care about giving the person in front of me something they won’t forget. And that’s why I bring the cake and raft out.

Where do I begin?

I haven’t had a chance to really to speak about all the controversy around my on-stage entertaining: DJing vs. The Cake (which includes the cake, the raft, the champagne, the stage dives…the entertainment part of the show). The haters and the trolls have always used me as an excuse to make fun of something that is out of the ordinary, something that doesn’t necessarily make sense to them. For whatever reason, I have always been a target that people love to attack. From not being American enough as a kid growing up in an all-white neighborhood, to not being indie enough for the die-hard hipsters in my 20s and now today, not being a “real DJ” for the electronic music purists…

#FreeFriday Episode No. 097: Kenna – Relations (Kevin Focus Remix)

August 1, 2014 Tim Gauthier #FreeFriday Tags: , ,
“I’ve had some really awesome opportunities making music, but remixing Kenna, it personally was one for the books. I’ve been a uber huge fan of Kenna since his first album & to get the nod to be able to remix his Dim Mak debut, I was more than stoked! It was difficult choosing what to use from the original because I wanted to use it all. The end result was reusing some of the track percussion and I snatched a part of Kenna’s vocal that had resonated the most to me. I did my best to remold the track in a new light with heavy energy and into the guise of a Dim Mak banger… ‘Lets have Relations!'”Kevin Focus
