Clockwork returns with his latest track “Blitz” on Dim Mak Records, the follow-up to this past summer’s “Surge”. “Blitz” is rambunctious electro house made for the big room. Clockwork’s signature style of electro truly shines during the drop, pounding along to a crowd-hyping rhythm. The build up is one that won’t be easily forgotten, with high pitched synths to get hands held high. Be on the lookout for more from Clockwork in 2014.
“A big and bold electro house jam, Blitz serves as a more-than-fine sequel to last winter’s Surge. The springy lead and powerful drums do justice to the big room vibes and reputation he’s known for while pushing the envelope and not conforming to the endless waves of music of similar vein.”
It’s Friday, November 1st and usually this would be the time I talk about Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, but instead I thought I’d share an entirely NEW jam as part of our infamous #FreeFriday series. Our Austin homies Night Drive take our LA homie Goldroom’s latest single “Embrace” out for a spin, chopping up singer Ariela Jacobs‘ vocals and adding layers of melodic synths to create a house influenced and super danceable soundscape. This #FreeFriday treat is just a taste of our next installment of Dim Mak Tuesdays on November 5th with the dudes of Night Drive along with Jupiter and Bones. In mere days from now—November 4 through 9, to be exact—a selection of finalists from around the world will touch down in Toronto for the Red Bull Thre3style World Finals, the globe’s best DJ competition actually geared towards the dancefloor. But it’s not like the Canadian capital needs any talent imported. Many of the DJs/producers currently blowing up the club scene worldwide originate in the T… and you may not even know it.
In this video, Brooklyn-based DJ Jubilee—a Thre3style judge who has played in Canada so many times she’s practically half-maple—visits over 15 of her Toronto-based friends, including Dim Mak superstars Keys N Kratesand Autoerotique, bass dudes Hunter Siegel and Marcus Visionary, techno leading lights Gingy and Alixander III (of Azari & III), and frequent Thre3style performers Grandtheft, Thugli, and Skratch Bastid, among many others. Along the way we discover that the Toronto dance music scene is a fractured but lovable family—most of these producers have worked together, lived together, thrown parties together, or gotten in fights with each other at one point or another, whether they’re deep in the techno game or banging out the hardest trap sounds.
Watch See You in Toronto to find about Torro Torro’s secret love affair with pigs, why Bruce Trail is a wizard, who throws the best afterparties, how Autoerotique gets erotic, and why Hamilton is the darkest place on the planet Earth, among other secrets of the city’s dance music elite.
Belgian jumpstyle and hardstyle producer/musician/DJ and Dim Mak’s first-ever hardstyle artist Coone unleashes his newest single “Zombie Killer” this Halloween (October 31) on Dim Mak Records. The track, featuring rapper Kritikal, is the third single from Coone’s upcoming album Global Dedication. This highly thrilling track is set to send chills down the spines of hardstyle and electronic music fans. “Zombie Killer” offers plenty of monster-themed sound effects and tortured screeching to drive listeners into wild excitement at festival stages around the globe. The raw energy that is persistent in all of Coone’s original productions is taken beyond the grave by New York-based hip-hop artist Kritikal.

Thanks to a pair of magic headphones — and, really, what headphones aren’t? — the two swap places, with Simmons becoming an EDM superstar and Aoki taking over one of Simmons’ workouts. Think Freaky Friday with lots of exercise outfits and choreography.
“Bring You To Life (Transcend) is about bringing people to life, literally,” Aoki says. “It’s a literal expression about letting the music bring you to life. The video is a very fun role swap between myself and the original dance guru Richard Simmons doing what we both do best.”
Aoki and house producer Rune RK released Bring You to Life (Transcend), which features vocals from RAS, earlier this month on Aoki’s Dim Mak Records. Gille Klabin directed the video.

Many producers like to stick to a genre. IllSkillz is not one of those people. His full-length Smash The Parade sets aside any pre-existing notions that a producer must stay lumped in one category. Across the twelve-track album, IllSkillz explores a diverse range of genres. From the hardest electro house and dubstep, to tracks with hip-hop crossover appeal, IllSkillz leaves no stone unturned.
Previously released as a Dim Mak single, “Birdz” is grindingly rough electro house with wild LFOs riding on top. “Euphorica” takes a different approach–anthemic, big room dubstep wobbles alongside a beautiful melody sure to leave a lasting impression. The closing track on the album, “Never Step Back”, harkens back to IllSkillz’s sound historically. “Never Step Back” lays the superb vocals of Nina expertly overtop of a complex drumstep beat. All it takes is one listen to hear that Smash The Parade fully charts through the realms of electronic music.
The latest effort from Belgian duo Sound of Stereo, Funk / Jive, tells two opposite sides of a similar story. On one end, “Funk” is a dance floor filler track, featuring a build-up with an ever intense climbing motion. The song drops into a body rocking electro synth, citing some influence from Dutch sounds. On the other end is “Jive”. Sound of Stereo merges vocal sounds with classic electro synths into one firm package, with a dramatic build dropping into Dutch-influenced synths once again.
The sounds of Funk / Jive are bound to entice crowds worldwide. Look out for these latest electro gems from Sound of Stereo.
If you haven’t already grabbed their last release on Dim Mak, “Origin / Terminal”, you can grab the EP and watch the official music video here: http://bit.ly/12OZLbY
“Wild Out” from Bosnian artist SkitzoFrenix is a dance floor bomb taking the best of electro with classic house sensibilities. Starting off with a drop that teases at what’s to come, “Wild Out” leans on its percussive background as it unfolds. When the next drop rolls around, SkitzoFrenix lets the electro synths go into high-pitched antics.
The Jeff Doubleu remix brings “Wild Out” down into a gritty, dark and dirty place. Be sure to cop both versions to get a full reflection of how “Wild Out” can play both sides of the electro coin.
