Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo, alias The Bloody Beetroots has always been an anomaly amidst the cocooned trends and coddled pedigrees of dance music. After fits and starts in Italian garage-punk bands, Rifo launched The Bloody Beetroots in 2007 and over the next few years, he would win the support of electro house heavyweights Etienne de Crecy and Alex Gopher in Europe and Dim Mak’s Steve Aoki stateside. On Rifo’s watch, anything’s not only possible – but from the sheer vastness of sounds and media that have materialized – probable as well. From the start Mr. Bloody Beetroot has been capable of seamlessly crossing genres, diving into everything from new wave to the primal screams of hardcore punk.
His most recent collaborations include studio sessions with Youth and remixing Killing Joke, an opportunity very few are entitled to. After working closely with Dennis Lyxen from The Refused on the single smash club record “Church of Noise,” Rifo developed an online community and cult following that embraces the freedom of art, speech and chaos – www.therealchurchofnoise.com. From one-man studio production to full live band shows with The Bloody Beetroots Live and DJ show touring as The Bloody Beetroots DJ set, Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo is a pioneer, reinventing the landscape of electronic music. Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo is currently touring as The Bloody Beetroots LIVE – See below for upcoming tour dates!

CODER Picks of the Week: Clinton VanSciver, Kaskade, Jay-Z and More…
Twenty-one-year-old producer/songwriter and Californian Clinton VanSciver calls his summer cocktail of melodies, keys and bass chunk “dirty pop.” We hear the supposed filth – those smudges of Skrillex synth and occasional bursts of bass – but VanSciver‘s music is much more. It’s a perfect union of West Coast house, glistening trance, blue-eyed soul and post-brostep savvy, all in under-five-minute, hummable bursts. This cut, the title track off his debut EP for Steve Aoki‘s Dim Mak, feels simple and effortless, which hopefully means that this young gun has a lot more where it came from. –Kerri

For all EDM’s pop aspirations, it rarely nails that elusive crossover as perfectly as this extended serotonin rush of a song, which floods your brain just as forcefully whether you hear it in a field full of wide-eyed first-time ravers or waiting in line at the grocery store.
Dim Mak welcomes Los Angeles producer Clinton VanSciver to its iconic roster! In this video—set to Clinton VanSciver‘s original track “Finding Other Doors” feat. Tyler Demorest—we see the newest member of the Dim Mak family visiting our headquarters for his official initiation. And what better way to celebrate than shots. Lots and lots of shots!
As his first official release on Dim Mak, Clinton VanSciver recently unleashed the “Indie Anna Jones” EP. Within the first week of its release, the 4-track EP hit Top 10 in the dubstep, progressive house, and glitch-hop genres and #11 in the electro house category on Beatport. The lead single “Indie Anna Jones” has garnered support from countless artists, including Dim Mak head honcho Steve Aoki, Armin van Buuren, Thomas Gold, and more, and it instantly rocketed to the #5 spot on The Hype Machine.
Music is universal. It transcends. It has the ability to transport the listener to another world, another time, displacing any worries he or she may have. There’s nothing like a track that delivers a powerful element of nostalgia.
Felix Cartal’s new single, “Young Love”, taken from his upcoming Past Present Felix EP, embodies the season that often evokes such memories …summer. With a sun-drenched beat, chilling vocals provided by Koko LaRoo, lyrics of youthfulness and the infectious energy that we’ve come to expect from Felix, “Young Love” is a melodious song with enough zest to amp up even the most discerning of music lovers. It’s classic, it’s fresh, it feels the way young love should…it’s everything we love about Felix’s flawless resonance.
