TOo much good shit in one night but we all survived. I took the first flight out of LAX to NYC with Cobrasnake. I met up with A Trak and we did a lil photo shoot with Cobrasnake for Gravis.

Ran around the city and ended up at Stereo for the Misshapes/BPM 10 Year ANniversary NYC party. Hung with DJ Vice for a minute.

day off thursday. then Friday back again to dj at Stereo, this time for the Amsterjam Festival Pre party Junior Sanchez, Jus Ske, and I did our sets at the Amsterjam Festival the next day. I missed Rhymefest and Q-Tip but i did catch Busta Rhymes getting arrested right from the stage. LL Cool J and Tom Petty were alright.
Then i left and ended up at The Misshapes party at Don Hill's and rubbed one out there.

Greg K did his thing. I never knew the snap my picture song was such a big hit to underage hipsters.

I came back to LA somehow in one piece and actually made it out to the Gorilla Biscuits show at Chain Reaction. This was my favorite band when i was in highschool. Best straight edge hardcore band of all time. I even have it stamped on my back.

I caught Walter Shriefels guitarist of GB, who later went on to Quicksand to Rival Schools to Walking Concert play an acoustic set of his greats and some covers - Break Down the Walls to Beyond. Pretty sweet.

While i was in NYC, Dim Mak and Feel My Heat presented myspace.com/nicovega at the Troubadour and it went off. I love that band. In a city with a ton of shitty bands, there's always a few that really make me happy to live in LA. We'll keep you posted on their future records coming out in 2007.

AviRon represented at Hot Lava at LAX last saturday and snapped a few photos of Gods Girls.

My new favorite band, Cansei De Ser Sexy came by the Dim Mak offices and talked about their new video they are doing for their next single. Ana from CSS is rocking one of the Dim Mak Collection Dino Hoodies that we are showing at Magic.

We went to Puma for a few said what up got the new Luda's.

If you haven't heard CSS yet you need to. Check out their myspace page myspace.com/canseidesersexy" Aviron and I dropped them off at the airport so they can start their long jaunt across the world for the next few months but they will be back with Ladytron in October.

Last night was double duty. Uffie and Feadz came in town and Marvin Jarrett and i took em around town. Then i went to go dj the GQ Magazine party with LUpe Fiasco at the same place where B.I.G. was killed. Had to pour some out for my favorite rapper of all time.

Then Matt and i raced over to Cinespace to catch J Davey I djed some. Them Jeans did his thing. Uffie came on and the place was going fucking offffff. Pics up soon.


THis week and next week coming....
Now I'm on a plane heading to NYC to dj at Marquee tonight. I come back Thursday to play my first ever poker tournament. I'm pretty excited except that I've lost pretty much every game that I've played so far when I'm not in Vegas. So this is pretty fucking exciting for me. Then another one of my favorite new bands OH NO OH MY are playing at Spaceland and I'm definitely racing over there to check them out. They are from Nashville, they remind me of the Spinto Band another one of my favorites and they are playing tomorrow. After their show i go back to the private party i dj on thursdays whenever im in town with partner Chad Muska. Friday I head to LAX again to head out to Josh Menendez' party Revolver at Studio A in Miami. Another BPM collabo. with the best indie party in Miami. I'll be djing there with The Walkmen. Then I head back to LA to dj at Hot Lava at LAX. A days rest ready for my favorite time in Las Vegas - MAGIC TRADE SHOW!!!! DIM MAK COLLECTION has a booth at MAGIC's CAMPGROUNDS and a booth at POOL TRADE SHOW. We got some new sweater designs and 12 more t-shirt designs we are showing. I'm pretty fucking psyched on the 2nd collection. If you are in Vegas and you are going to Magic or Pool please come check out our booths. Next Monday I'll be djing Magic's opening party event at TAO. Tuesday I'll be djing with Tommie Sunshine and She Wants Revenge will be performing at JET. Wednesday I'm djing the Triple Five Soul BPM party at TRYST. And in the day time between 2-4pm Im spinning at Pool Trade Show at Mandalay Bay. It's going to be a busy time in Vegas but it's all worth it to rep the new season's collection we have from DMC. We'll post it up online soon.

AUGUST 7-15th WRAPUP

Last week was a horrible time to fly. But like i said when you got some miles under your belt, even just 25,000 (although ive since beaten that one long ago) you can cut through that horrible line and stand behind one or two nicely dressed older people with suits and bear with being in airports as much i hate being in them. who needs toothpaste right? i just chew eclipse and its all good. so i co hosted my favorite show FEEL MY HEAT on indie 103.1 last monday with super buddy Danny Masterson. We played a lot of dim mak jams and talked stupid the whole time. it was awesome. listen to danny masterson and brent bolthouse's show every monday at 9-11pm.
Danny Masterson and Matt Colon at the BPM 10 Year Anniversary... BPM are doing parties all over the place for their 10 year launch. i ll be djing this wednesday in New York City at Stereo with Misshapes and A-Trak for it and the end of the month in Miami at the REVOLVER party at Studio A.

then of course last week at cinespace was fucking out of control.... went to go see dirty pretty things at the fonda and then head over to cinespace. we had the dirty pretty things afterparty and record release so we threw out some cds and rocked out all night. simon white who manages bloc party who was also in british band menswear did a dueling dj set with charlotte and tennessee from the like.

i came back to play some poker, late night is how i do. then drove out to the airport to head to NYC to dj Marquee. every other wednesday i dj all night upstairs. josh madden djed with me and it made my night twice as fun. love that guy. then i fly right back home hours later to dj at my residency at this really small exclusive loungey bar in la. friday came around and i flew out to san francisco to dj at fluid. saturday i flew out to vegas to dj for Stuff Magazine with danny masterson and dj vice later popped on the decks for an all out 80's set.

tom green was really wasted and rapped a lot. almost forgot about that.

ok its like 2am and im tired and im almost done wiht this weekly wrap. i spent the last 14 hours with my partner in Weird Science working on our next remix for Peaches and now im sitting in front of a computer typing away. tonight, yes tonight for that matter is our weekly cinespace!!! and its pretty fucking sweet... always is cuz its always funnnn.... yeahhh... this week is THE SOUNDS DJ SET with WILDCAT WILL FROM WHITEY who we at Dim Mak are releasing their new album in the States!! and in the back room LE REV and HELLO FEVER. whenever we have the sounds dj it's always a ragerrrr and hello fever and le rev have sexxy front woman singerrrss....


so its gonna be pretty fresshhh. of course i'll be djing, cobrasnake will show up in a superman outfit and them jeans will come in size 34 42 jeans. hes really tall. free svedka as usual from 10-11pm. soo goood. then fucking a, i fly right back to NYC again this wednesday but this time with cobrasnake. and this wednesday ill be djing the Misshapes Party at Stereo for BPM's 10 Year Shindig in NYC w/ Junior Sanchez And Josh Madden. then friday i dj at Stereo again for the Amsterjam Festival pre party. then i dj at Amsterjam Festival this coming saturday at Randall's Island. the line up is pretty mainstream - Tom Petty, Foo Fighters, LL Cool J, Tego Calderon, Busta Rhymes. but the stage i dj on is pretty sweet. AUGUST 1rst to 8TH wrap up

Finally back to LA, well almost, still sitting on a plane heading home from Chicago. It's been a long week but let me tell you, it's been really fucking good for me. Let's just start how i always start from the beginning of the week til now... From djing the Gnarls Barkley Avalon afterparty to seeing my boys Bloc Party sell out The Grove in Anaheim last tuesday i was already pretty psyched.
and yessss Gordy is wearing a JR Ewing Tee... Gotta love one of the best bands that came out of Norway.

Before we all left to go to Cinespace there was a mobbed out signing line and a nice girlie made herself a Bloc Party purse out of the "tulips" single we released. had to take a photo of this....

We raced up to Cinespace and were getting texts from Them Jeans that by 11pm there was already 300 people waiting to get in and it was near capacity. In the back room, we let our buddies ONE CELL & ALPHA PUP do their showcase for their bands - Daedelus

so cobrasnake and i met up in sweaty ol' miami. and i had no idea how i was gonna dj being that i was still drunk somehow.

after the hotel party we went to visit our buddy josh menendez at his party he was throwing.

and eventually made it to the trafik trade show where they gave dim mak a booth to show our goods.

ran into buffmonster who is on the line fresh produce tour that is showing dim mak collection, buffmonster, free gums, hydrahead, came crashing.. check it out they are traveling all over the states for 6 weeks introducing dim mak collection to a bunch of good stores everywhere. more info will be posted.

on thursday we flew up to chicago to do up lollapalooza and all the kerrazzzzyy parties happening. i djed at crobar for a pre-lolla party with kill hannah who performed live, tommie sunshine, spencer product, chris holmes, mark gertz from dark wave disco and actuallly more. that happened to be one of the funnest parties ive ever djed.

somehow i got home in one piece and flew out to kansas city, missouri to dj at harrah's casino's new club voodoo. as i was walking in i saw their schedule of talent performing and i thought it was hilarious that i was playing days after a psychic and george thorogood.

by the way, kansas city was weird. maybe just in that casino. i flew back to chicago to catch some bands. gnarls barkley.

we had one more day left so cobra and i went back to lolla super late to catch broken social scene who were fucking unbelievable with a 15 minute applause ending their set. and now im just about to land in la. this weeek coming is pretty busy...

Today, that being Monday or what's left of it, i just cohosted FEEL MY HEAT on Indie 103.1 with Danny Masterson from 9-11pm. Check it out. it's my favorite show on indie and Danny and Brent Bolthouse do it every MONDAY between 9-11PM on 103.1 FM. We played every thing from PJ HArvEY, Bloc Party, The Rakes, Scanners, Whitey, Oh No Oh My, Mystery Jets, Travis, Razorlight, and more.... It's always a good time with Mr. Danny. Love that guy to death.
THIS WEEK SCHEDULE
TOmorrow at Cinespace is going to be pretty fucking killer!!! And definitely going to be kerrraaazeddd out again. When you have 6 dj sets happening what the fuck can you do but just party. The Back Room - three performances by THE LIVING THINGS, MOTOR, MEZZANINE OWLS. We had The Living Things play our New Years Eve show and it went off! Then i saw them on Conan or something and they went off. Theyll go off tomorrow night. In the front room, we are having the DIRTY PRETTY THINGS record release party. That's Carl and Gary from LIBERTINES one of my favs!! and DPT is pretty fucking stellar. They'll be djing with a dj set between THE LIKE & GUNZ (Simon White), JUNIOR SANCHEZ, THEM JEANS, & myself I'm not sure if you can add any more to this night. Oh can't forget our Free Svedka from 10-11pm... damn get early or youll just have to wait in line longer or something. This coming wednesday, I fly back out to NYC for my residency at MARQUEE. Every other wednesday I dj at marquee upstairs rock and hip hop all night. Yess, its pricey but its fun. Thursday i come back to la la land and dj at the exclusive private bar that there would be no reason to even talk about cuz none of you prolly cant get in. its a lounge, so mellow thursdays whenever im back in la. then Friday i fly out to San Francisco to dj at Desire Fridays at Fluid.

then i fly out to Las Vegas to dj a Stuff Magazine Party at Hard Rock Casino. i get home on sunday for another packed week... more info below...

------- July 21 - August 1rst wrap up

Last weekend was Comicon and I djed a party at BELO to promote the new Bruce Lee vinyl figure that DIm Mak presented. Like I've said millions before, especially if you know me, I'm a huge Bruce Lee fan which is where the name Dim Mak derived from. So it was a great collaboration to do something with Eight Eight (the company that does this particular Bruce Lee "Game of Death" toy among others.) I had a meeting with Tim Tsui who is my absolute favorite figure artist and he is going to be designing all the Dim Mak limited edition dinosaurs we have coming out in 2007. This is one of his creations. IF you haven't noticed our newest Dim Mak hoodies, we are big dinosaur buffs. From San Diego, I went straight to the Hamptons to dj at Pink Elephant for the WE SC FASHION SHOW. Yes, I was part of the street horsing team for WESC back in the day and yes I am OLLEYING over a car. Who knew it would become such a big deal now. Now you see a random kid streethorsing through LA olleying over 15 stairs! After djing to a bunch of underage models & their rich boyfriends, I flew back to LA to dj Gnarls Barkley's Afterparty at the Avalon. Check out this old pic of Dangermouse rockin' one of our classic Dim Mak tees... BIg fan of Dangermouse and Gnarls... selling over 40,000 a week... I can't wait to see a platinum record hanging around their necks. The next day I went to dj at Tao at the Venetian for Bodog Poker (click on Bodog to view Wireimage.com fotos).

Cinespace rages on.... I flew from Veg Ass to NYC to dj at Marquee last wednesday. And flew out to Chicago on Friday to dj at Mark Wentz's party Dark Wave Disco best indie party out there. Two days ago i came back to lala land to dj a Check It Out Magazine launch party and then later at our saturday residency HOT LAVA at LAX. Now onto this week. Oohhhh sooo gooood and soooo awesome!!!!

CINESPACE TUESDAYS TOMORROW is BLOC PARTY's OFFICIAL AFTERPARTY with special guest djs??? and in the back room a One Cell/Alpha Pup Showcase with TRS-80, Daedelus, Lab Waste, and Bad Dudes. as always free svedka from 10-11 and this summer we've been packing in over 700 to 800 people so come early or you might have a problem getting in. last week for Young Love We also have access to a special VIP buddies after hours spot only for Cinespace buddies... Make sure to ask one of the Dim Mak people about this if you hate having to go home at 2am. Wednesday coming, I fly out to MIAMI! Cobrasnake meets me out there to shoot the Trafik Jam Party for Trafik Trade Show where Dim Mak Collection is now showing our fall 2007 gear... hoooodiessss and shirts!! Yessiirrrr... Thursday Cobrasnake and I fly out to Chicago once again but this time for LOLLAPALOOZA!!! I'll be djing a party with Tommie Sunshine, Spencer Product, Chris Holmes and more with Kill Hannah performing all at Crobar. Friday I fly out to Kansas City of all places to dj the opening of HArrah's Casino then come back to Chicago to dj another Lollapalooza party with Johnny Love. and at some point monday I fly back home to la for Cinespace with THE LIVING THINGS performing. ----- JULY 15th JULY 21st wrap up
The week seems to go by faster and faster. There's always something kerrazzzy happening. If i did drugs id be in baaad shape. luckily im just a cheap date. Two drinks maybe one more and im GOOOOOD. Ok Scanners survived Los Angeles and San Francisco - they did Cinespace Tuesdays then Moscow on Wednesday then Pop Scene on Friday then three photo shoots for Swindle, Dim Mak Collection, & Check it Out Magazine then played three gigs on Monday. We officially signed them on Dim Mak and we are all very excited.
First with a sold out show with another Dim Mak artist THE RAKES

So Comicon is happening down in San Diego and I'll be djing a party at Belo down there to support the new release of Level 5's new vinyl figure of none other than BRUCE LEE in Game of Death. Dim Mak has now since collaborated with Level 5 and they asked us to present their newest vinyl figure to the world. It makes perfect sense for us, after all, I decided on the name Dim Mak 10 years ago based on my obsession with Bruce Lee. It's a perfect fit. The new Bruce Lee vinyl figure will come with a Dim Mak Records sampler and our imprint inside the nunchuckus booklet. All hail Bruce Lee...
I fly out the next day to dj for buddies WE SC for their fashion show in the Hamptons. Then back to LA on Monday for super star buddies GNARLS BARKLEY's official afterparty at a private event. Tuesday at Cinespace we have YOUNG LOVE performing... This is the singer from the band RECOVER except they are really fucking good. Well its just him but they are pretty fucking killer and are on Ultragrrrl's label Stolen Transmissions. Go Sarah L & Rob Stevenson! They are playing with LOLA RAY who are also from NYC and rocked the DIM MAK SHOWCASE at CMJ. Two great bands from the east coast playing at Cinespace.. In the front room will be the ever illustrious THEM JEANS and special guest djs BLUE GEMZ & BLAKE MILLER from MOVING UNITS/WEIRD SCIENCE. Blake will drop our newest Weird Science remixxxx out on the dance floor this TUESDAY of YOUNG LOVE's "DISCOTECH"!!! It'll knock your knees on the floor. I'll be djing at TAO in the VEnetian in Las Vegas for a BODOG POKER AFTERPARTY. Then i Fly back to NYC for my residency at MARQUEE Friday I come back to Chicago to dj at DARK WAVE DISCO at SONOTHEQUE This will be my second time at Dark Wave Disco and im pretty pscyched about being back. Then i come home to LAlaland for HOT LAVA LAX next saturday. Let's party!

July 1rst - July 10th wrap up


I never have fun on July 4rth... It's just one of those holidays that usually blow. but fuck man spending the entire day on a beach djing and partying is brought to a different level. Was kinda surreal but hey, if you are on a beach, fucking live it up right? Lindsay Lohan and I djed for a couple hours.

Sold out show at Troubadour... sorry no ticket giveaways on the first headlining LA show for the Rakes. SO back Cinespace this Tuesday we will be presenting PEACHES new release "IMpeacH My Bush" with free from 10-11pm SVEDKA VODKA with PEACH INFUSED VODKA til its gone. GREG K from MISSHAPES will be guest djing with myself and Jason Stewart in the front room. And lastly, we are also presenting A SCANNER DARKLY with a special shortened version of the film in the back room before Scanners goes on. After Cinespace I'll be heading to NYC to DJ at MARQUEE and Thursday at HAPPY VALLEY for EVEN FURTHER Friday I'll be in San Francisco to Dj at ROE for a Myspace party that homie Ted Skillet will be hosting.
