Israeli DJ-producer Borgore has a knack for stitching together eclectic styles. As a former death-metal drummer, he brings a hard-hitting approach to his electronic tunes – but he’s still savvy enough to collaborate with artists of very different genres. On his new single, “Wild Out,” he brings both a pop singer, Paige, and a rapper, Waka Flocka Flame, into the fold.
Borgore had high praise for her, as well as for his guest rapper. “Working with Waka was like working with the energy of an MMA fight, while Paige brought a serene, silky, angel-like voice and I had to somehow mix them both together. Mission.”
“Wild Out” will be released on October 15th, on Dim Mak Records, and it’s available for pre-order on iTunes and Borgore’s official website. The Wild Out EP will be released later this fall.

Kevin Focus shows us that, when it comes to electronic music, less isn’t always more. In fact “Less is Snore”. The long awaited follow up to Focus’s number one selling EP Stuck 7/Brock Out takes his progressive, big room sound and fuses it with his past underground roots.
2013 has been a huge year for English alternative band, “Scanners.” This June marked the release of their long awaited third album, “Love is Symmetry” on Dim Mak Records. To follow up, 5 songs on the album have been chosen for 8 remixers to give their interpretation on Scanners.
It seems like producing a super legit remix of a DIRTYPHONICS track is like a right of passage only bestowed upon the most gifted of music makers, as witnessed by Kastle’s remix Dirtyphonics‘ “Hanging On Me”; laid back and fresh, “Hanging on Me (Kastle Remix)” is like a breath of clean air on this #dirty track. Kastle, who is known for infusing the sounds of R&B with edgier dubstep influences, sheds a whole new light with his chilled out rendition.
Felix Cartal is experiencing a monumental year! With a slew of chart-topping releases, including his recent “Past, Present, Felix” EP, and a North American tour that kicked off with a bang, Canada’s electro-house golden boy knows no limits!
Having just reached the #1 spot on Hype Machine popular charts, Felix’s summer single “Young Love (feat. KoKo LaRoo)” is making massive waves in the blogosphere. When it comes to heavy bass, haunting lyrics belted out with soaring vocals, dirty beats, and overall badassery…who do you turn to? If you didn’t answer DIRTYPHONICS, then you are wrong and need to reevaluate your life/music situation. The only way to make a DIRTYPHONICS song even dirtier is to add the talents of the cake lovin’ Borgore and trap producer extraordinaire Ookay; the results of such a collaboration can be heard in the Hardstyle-inspired remix these two heavy hitters produced on the Dirtyphonics track “Hanging On Me”. Full of subtle drops and vibey bass, “Hanging on Me (Borgore & Ookay remix)” is sexy and fun, which is just what we’d expect from a fusion of all this talent in one place.
Is there any sound so tough that a U.K. garage refix can’t turn into something pliable and seductive? Apparently, not, at least judging from the Los Angeles producer Kastle’s remix of “Hanging on Me,” a new song from the French quartet Dirtyphonics. Their recent singles have typically trod the line between headbanging and Ed Banging: “No Stopping Us,” featuring Foreign Beggars, was hip-house via Alice in Chains, while “Walk in the Fire” was forged of blast beats and chugging metal guitars. “Hanging on Me” is similar, marrying Master of Puppets-inspired twinned leads to a shuddering, dubsteppy cadence and topping it off with vocals from the Duke Spirit’s Liela Moss, who here sounds, improbably but intriguingly, a little like Cat Power imitating Ozzy Osbourne. In Kastle’s hands, though, the tune flashes back to 2-step’s glory days, complete with bouncy organ bass line and synths as bubbly as a freshly uncorked bottle of Dom. In contrast to 2-step’s habit of making chipmunks out of its singers, he plays Moss’ vocals relatively straight, save for a judicious bit of glottal chopping, but he strays from convention by briefly flipping the groove into a brittle triplet rhythm that’s halfway between trap and Schaffel. If you’ve ever dreamed of a Lex Luger/Superpitcher collaboration, here’s the next best thing. (via SPIN)
Brace yourselves again, dance fans. Clinton VanSciver is back for your dance floors, and he came prepared with “Indie Anna Jones Remixes”, a seven track remix EP that demands to be turned all the way up…

Three unique and diverse producers come together as GOON SQUAD to unleash a six song EP by the name of “Twerk EP” today, a collection of bangers that will leave fans and tastemakers clamoring for more. Hip hop meshed with trap colliding with driving basslines…

Were someone to describe Keys N Krates as an artist who includes Diplo and Annie Mac as friends, one whose schedule includes appearances at festival stages like HARD, Mad Decent Block Party and Electric Zoo, and one who is signed to Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak label, you might have and idea of who this artist is. But as a live electronic band, Toronto-based trio Keys N Krates, are anything but a typical EDM act.

Every artist knows that the highest form of a compliment is through imitation. From the outdoor coastal concept to the colorfully artistic effects, Big Sean’s latest music video for his single “10 2 10″ is exactly that.
Dim Mak’s own Clockwork released the music video for his single “Surge” back in June 2013 showcasing some unique and original effects against a back drop of the coastal wilderness. From the hike through the wooded trails to the shots of the waves and the clouds rolling in over the scene, it puts you at one with nature and the meaning of the lyrics “I can feel it in my body” shine through without question.
“10 2 10″ , released just about a week ago, boasts an oh so similar concept. Hike through the wooded trails? Check. Waves? Check. Clouds? Check. But wait, what about those super cool visual effects? Check. (Shout out @susboy911) It is super reminiscent of what we saw with Clockwork’s “Surge”… and that is awesome. As far as the lyrics and video creating cohesive concept, its not exactly on the money. With the song being about working from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and back again, when did he have time to stroll to the beach? I mean, since he was busy working and all.
