To all our avid Twitter followers, and frequents of the #FF shoutouts, we have adorned a whole new meaning towards this overused Friday chant-off… Presenting #FreeFriday.
You may remember Yung Skeeter from his previous incarnation as DJ Skeet Skeet, the Dim Mak signee and seminal EDM champion who’s been enlisted by outlets like Spotify to be their resident selector or mags like Paper and Blackbook who’ve handed him DJ of the year titles. You may also remember That Work as the mellifluous NY dance team responsible for this killer nu-disco track. But if you do not, after listening to this kaleidoscope floor turn of “Soul On Fire,” the inky house stain of this redux will be permanently embedded into your brain. Here’s hoping these two do a lot more together.

Dim Mak is proud to release the next installment off Proxy’s line of “MUSIC FROM THE EASTBLOCK JUNGLES”, with this single premiere; “Shut Up”.
Out October 16, “Shut Up!” is packed with a brutal hip-hop vocal decrying mainstream pop laid out over the bluntest of beats, armed with weapons-grade bass and PROXY’s trademark, dread-inspiring atmospherics. The track will be accompanied with remixes from Dim Mak label mates GTRONIC and VCO. Belgian titan GTRONIC lends his heavy bass trash sound for a grinding rendition of “Shut Up!” crammed with low-end intensity. Los Angeles-based duo VCO rework “Shut Up!” into a techno-house frenzy. Closing out the release, rising Canadian star John Roman uncovers the pitch-black soul of “Shut Up!” and lets it unfold over six minutes of malevolent techno, while Belgian house duo Sound of Stereo unleash an equally dark and fully loaded house remake.
Yung Skeeter has done it again with his official remix for That Work’s latest single, Soul on Fire. That Work, a musical group formed by Harry McNally and Kosuke Kasza in New York City met Yung Skeeter in 2007 when Harry was working with clothing company, Pegleg. Just after finishing Soul on Fire, the duo collaborated with Yung Skeeter for a remix for their orginal track. The Yung Skeeters remix is now available for free download to add to to your personal collection of remixes.
