This is the long-awaited debut release from the vehement Bay Area trio, From Monument to Masses. Formed in late 1999, FMTM worked tirelessly for a full year to compose songs which would inspire and revitalize the nation's jaded post-punk environment. The listener hears post-hardcore guitar manipulation and mathematical loop-sampling blend seamlessly with the smooth dub and hip-hop influenced bass lines to produce a gentle hypnosis and an explosive aggression.
