What other than "Raw and Rare". There just is not much else to say. THE BAND has done it again. Entertainers come and go, some sing louder than others, some get a hit here and there, some would like to lay claim to the title... But, THE VON BONDIES..., the band that does everything (and does most of it better than anyone else), is ROCK & ROLL NUMBER ONE! If there is any doubt , just taste this album. It's tough, it's rough, it's bad, man, bad! The Von Bondies have started more crazes and are the most copied performers in the industry today. Perfectionists and pros, they are constantly searching and studying for the new sound, the new bag, the new and different thing. Their thing is making hit records. This search for the new is what led the Von Bondies to release this very live record. There are those who claim the V.B.s dance as well as they sing, and they may well be right. The V.B.s do a dance on the stage which is unique, different and exciting. The band soon noticed that at concerts the kids were dancing in the aisles and in the streets trying to copy their steps. A craze... A whole new thing. (Hear it on the V.B.'s live album called "Raw and Rare".)

So much has been written about this band- it needs not be repeated here. I don't know your vocabulary nor what words you use to describe just about the best thing you have ever heard or felt, but this I know: Mother...sister... Brother or Father... This thing of the V.B.'s is all, to all, for all. - Martagne Wallace
