After several months of patient waiting, fans of the three-piece live electronic sensation known as Keys N Krates are about to be rewarded by Every Nite, the fresh new EP from the Canadian musical masterminds. Still flying high off the success of their undeniably catchy hit “Dum Dee Dum,” Keys N Krates are ready to launch into the next phase of their journey with this 6 track offering, which aptly demonstrates their evolution as a band, as well as their loyalty to the unique fusion of hip-hop and electronic music that they’re known for. Set for release on September 23 on Dim Mak Records, Every Nite displays the seamless blend and complementary juxtaposition between the drums, keys, turntables, and live sampling that so clearly distinguishes Keys N Krates.

1. Understand Why
3. Are We Faded
4. Yes We Faded
5. Your Love
6. She’s So High
Ahead of the EP, Keys N Krates are presenting the first single “Are We Faded,” which is set for release August 26. About “Are We Faded,” Billboard says, “The new single, ‘Are We Faded,’ is dizzyingly sexy, pushing along at a slower tempo that’s ideal for sweaty, middle-of-the-dance-pit grooving. It’s carried by choppy female vocals that bounce around in tandem with the synths, vanishing every once in a while to let a low voice chime ‘f-f-faded.’”
Keys N Krates have celebrated recent success with “Dum Dee Dum” (off their SOLOW EP) nearing the 100k downloads sold mark (99,659 as of July 30), and with the accompanying video amassing more than 2.2 million views on YouTube. Other recent achievements include the Tove Lo flip of “Habits” into “All The Time,” which has collected over 5 million Soundcloud plays, as well as the entirety of their acclaimed SOLOW EP, including “Treat Me Right,” which shot to #1 on Hype Machine, received instantaneous support from figureheads such as Diplo and Flosstradamus and was debuted by Annie Mac in the UK. They have also been featured on some of the biggest and best festival stages around the world including HARD in Los Angeles, Voodoo Festival in New Orleans, and Lollapalooza in Chicago, with USA Today singling them out as emerging artists to catch.
In celebration of the Every Nite EP, Keys N Krates are embarking on a massive fall tour, co-headlining with Gladiator and with support from Thugli, that will take them across the expanse of North America. Aside from their noteworthy talent as producers and studio musicians, Keys N Krates truly set themselves apart by their performances, where they bring their live electronic instrumentation to the stage together as a band. With stops in Los Angeles, Denver, Boston, Philadelphia, Phoenix, and countless more, Keys N Krates are canvassing the continent making sure no fan gets left behind.
Loudpvck & Gladiator‘s new track “Tony” is set for release on Ultra Music August 12, following Gladiator‘s collaboration with A-Trak, a remix of Foster the People’s “Best Friend.” Also Joining Keys N Krates on the tour are fellow Torontonians, Thugli. Loved by Diplo, A-Trak, Flosstradamus and Bauuer for their distinctive sound, described as a hybrid of dirty south rap combined with a love of melodic builds and heavy synth, Thugli will be releasing their debut EP this fall, and their remix of Diplo & GTA‘s track “Boy Oh Boy” features on Diplo‘s new album.

[info_box_2 title=”ABOUT THE RELEASE”]Following the success of “Play It Again”, Autoerotique is at it again with another hard, body gyrating single. LZR BASS is enthralling from the very first beat. The Dirty Dutch influence shines bright [like a lzr] in this relentlessly fast paced electro banger. With every release, the Canadian duo pushes the boundaries of electronic music further and further in a way that’s entirely unique to Autoerotique and we can’t wait to hear what’s next!
Felix Cartal is experiencing a monumental year! With a slew of chart-topping releases, including his recent “Past, Present, Felix” EP, and a North American tour that kicked off with a bang, Canada’s electro-house golden boy knows no limits!
Having just reached the #1 spot on Hype Machine popular charts, Felix’s summer single “Young Love (feat. KoKo LaRoo)” is making massive waves in the blogosphere. To add fuel to that fire, the official video for the track has just been featured as one of the “fresh videos” on Canada’s iconic pop-culture site www.muchmusic.com!
Felix will be participating in an in-studio interview with Much Music coming up soon! #staytuned
By now, I’m sure you’ve fallen in love with Felix Cartal and Autoerotique’s “The Alarm” (and if you haven’t, then shame on you). Whether you have or have not, prepare yourself to get stoked all over again because it’s been remixed, giving the already vibrant track three fresh new perspectives. The Erick Rincon 8Ball Bootleg is, in my humble opinion, the most eclectic; it almost has the vibes of a party in Cuba experiencing an air raid. With the Keys N Krates rendition, expect bass for days and the feeling of chills creeping down your fist pumping arms. Different still is the Charlie Darker remix, which lends a throwback early house music experience while maintaining the hyperactivity of the original track. It’s quite an accomplishment to take a piece that is already a mega anthem in its own right and turn it into a whole different work of art, but these three producers did just that and did it remarkably well.
AUTOEROTIQUE & FELIX CARTAL – THE ALARM REMIXED PREVIEWS
“The track’s hip-hop basses combined with feel-good electronic synth melodies explains why these three dance pioneers should be ‘treated right’ by contemporaries throughout the rest of 2013” – VIBE Magazine
Tune, Matisse and Jr. Flo – or Canadian electronic trio and burgeoning live-act KEYS N KRATES as they’re more widely known to the music world – have today released their latest single ‘TREAT ME RIGHT’ on Steve Aoki’s globallly-celebrated Dim Mak imprint.
The first track to be taken from their forthcoming ‘SOLOW’ EP, ‘Treat Me Right’ was initially premiered across the airwaves on Annie Mac’s taste-making BBC Radio 1 show on 8th February to a truly incredible reception. Since then, the iconic trap-tinged electronic/hip-hop monster has been enjoying hefty support from the online sphere and has become a mainstay in the sets of big hitters such as TNGHT, Diplo, Annie Mac and Salva (to name but a few) over the past few weeks.
Having been recently crowned #1 of Billboard’s official “Next Rising Artists” chart, Keys N Krates are also gearing up for high profile North American LIVE shows at SXSW Festival (Austin, Texas), Blue Martini (Tampa, FL), WMC (Miami, FL) and Blue Martini (Orlando, FL). See below for full list of tour dates.

Felix Cartal – Domo
“Domo” in Japanese is a greeting meaning something along the lines of “Well, hello there!” It’s also the title of the new song from Dim Mak recording artist FELIX CARTAL who today celebrates the release of remixes by Étienne de Crécy and Pierce Fulton via Beatport and iTunes. “DOMO” is the second single, following “Don’t Turn On The Lights,” off of FELIX CARTAL’s album DIFFERENT FACES out March 27 on Dim Mak.
Featuring illustration by London-based illustrator Dan Stafford, the general idea for the “DOMO” video was to produce something that really worked with the huge drops and blistering pace of the track. “When Felix and I were talking about what to do for the video we had loads of really complicated ideas about Japan, 90’s club culture and making a short anime cartoon, but we quickly boiled the idea down to a simple visualization of the track with a theme of moving from sense to complete nonsense,” says Stafford. “It all came together as a journey from a hoop-jumping-rat-race to a frenetic weekend mess, all slathered in J-pop color. DOMO!”
