If you’ve been a fan of Dim Mak for awhile now, the name Kele Okereke probably rings a bell. If it doesn’t, the name Bloc Party definitely should. Kele is the frontman for award-winning British rock band Bloc Party who released their self-titled EP on Dim Mak back in 2004! Bloc Party also performed at our beloved #DimMakTuesdays at Cinespace and we’ll always consider them to be a special part of the Dim Mak family.

Kele is currently touring North America in support of his “Heartbreaker” EP, out now on Crosstown Rebels and available on Beatport. The album features four tracks that display Kele’s love for underground electronic dance music. Here’s a quote from Kele about the EP:
“I’ve always loved the inclusive and spiritual nature of house music, so the opportunity to make music for the most iconic and influential house music label in the UK is a dream come true for me.”
On Monday, February 10th, we are honored to be hosting this talented musician at Sound Nightclub where Kele will be performing a special dj set. The event is FREE with RSVP – head to dimmakevents.com to get on the guest list!
