MORTEN returns to Dim Mak with the grimy club heater “TTFU,” teaming up with New Jersey duo Riggi & Piros to offer up a ruthless 128BPM dubstep-influenced beast.
“Doomsday” is upon us as EXSSV unleashes his sinister Halloween-themed single. The NYC beatmaker makes use of ominous vocal samples and menacing bass house patterns before switching up the BPM and unloading a frightening dubstep drop.
I like things that are shredded. Shredded cheese? Legitimately delicious on everything. Shredder from TMNT? A sufficiently spine tingling villain with a dislike for pizza loving turtles. But you know what I love more than both of those things combined? The way Dirtyphonics’ “IRREVERANCE” is shredding on numerous BEATPORT charts right now!
As of today, here is where “IRREVERANCE” stands in the illustrious Beatport charts:
Top 100 Release: #8
Drum & Bass Top 100 Releases: #2
Dubstep Top 100 Releases: #2
Electro House Top 100 Releases: #2
With tracks like “Chaos” and “No Stopping Us” featuring Foreign Beggars, it’s clear that this album is going to continue to impress and climb charts all across the board. “IRREVERANCE” stands as a testament to old and new listeners alike that Dirtyphonics are increasingly great at making music that takes no prisoners, just leaves a trail of #dirty fans ready for more heart pounding, crowd pleasing, and game changing bangers.
“Walk In The Fire” is metal/drum & bass track which combines the best of two worlds. “Walk in the Fire” kicks off with a guttural guitar grind before coalescing into an electro dubstep break fueled by screams and wild production. Setting the dance floor ablaze like never before, it injects a healthy helping of heavy metal intensity into a drum n’ bass dubstep monster that claws right out of the box. This pure and raw track consists full of energy which will give you a boost for the entire day and night. It will both satisfy the metal- and dub-heads out there, so if you have a friend that’s not fully convinced of the power of electronic music, this track might give them the little boost they need. Schoolboy comes with a Knife Party-like electro remix and Culprate makes an intense dubstep version out of it.
The EP release is the latest release before their long-awaited Full Length “Irreverrence” comes out on Dim Mak Records on March 19th.
Following the release of “Irreverence”, Dirtyphonics will embark on their North American “Irreverence Tour.” Launching March 27 in Vancouver, the 30+ date tour will take them through many major markets as well as anticipated performances at this year’s Coachella where they will perform both weekends Sunday, April 14 and Sunday, April 21. Their live show is a full-on sensory experience more akin to seeing your favorite band than a typical EDM act. They bring a level of energy that’s rare in modern music. A limited amount of tickets for all upcoming US dates are immediately available for purchase direct from Dirtyphonics at: http://dirtyphonics.frontgatetickets.com
I recently came across this article on UR Chicago, that sums up Killbot’s latest EP, Sound Surgery to a T. Killbot, a project between Jonathan Davis, Sluggo, and Tyler Blue has proved to be a fan favorite since its release. UR Chicago describes the EP as, “likely to go down as one of the best releases of the American dubstep scene” and even goes on to say “Steve Aoki has always been a great tastemaker and this Killbot release is no exception.” You can read the full article here.
Killbot’s EP is also available for purchase on iTunes.
DubStep.net took note of our recent release from Hirshee describing the track “Take Me Places” off the Burning For EP, as “A perfect combination of absolutely explosive beat-making with a soft, sensitive undertone bordering on the erotic.” Check out DubStep.net to read the rest of the feature, along with what other listeners are saying about the track.
After they gave away Pitfalls And Corridors EP, South Central bring you the second instalment to their EP series called ‘Weapons Of Mass Dubstortion’. Keith says “when you listen to BEAThoven on a fuk off system you’ll see why it’s called that”. The Brighton (UK) boys are excited to be part of Dim Mak and look forward to bringing a different dimension of hype to Steve Aoki’s legendary world.
