Bright Lights and 3LAU’s crossover classic “Runaway” continues to dominate with the arrival of a souped-up remix package. Giving us full throttle festival energy, Dzeko & Torres amplify the hit to mainstage progressive house heights. On the future bass tip, Xan Griffin and Jengi Beats deliver powerful emotion-filled renderings, bursting with booming chords and intoxicating lushness.
The vibes at Tomorrowland 2013 felt more alive this year than ever before, especially when Dim Mak head honcho Steve Aoki went b2b at Tomorrowland’s Main Stage with 16 other artists from the Dim Mak family including acts like Zedd, Afrojack, Datsik, Carnage, South Central, Deorro, Dzeko & Torres, Angger Dimas, Autoerotique, Dirtyphonics, TAI, Will Brennan, and even Iron Man.
This breathtaking video features a ton of new and upcoming releases and gives an essential taste of the Dim Mak sound!
Be sure to catch more of your favorite Dim Mak artists as they grace the “Up All Night” stage at the inaugural TomorrowWorld festival in Chattahoochee Hills, GA. Sept. 27, 2013!
The party never stops when the Dim Mak crew is on scene. If you thought day 1 in Miami was wild then days 2 and 3 of WMC 2013 were nothing less than savage.
Things got wet and, well, weird as we hosted our highly anticipated Dim Mak Records Pool Party on Day 2. The Raleigh Hotel pool was full of babes in bikinis and dudes ready to dance their faces off. With rousing performances by Steve Aoki, Dzeko & Torres, Dirtyphonics, Laidback Luke, Keys N Krates, Yolanda Be Cool, Borgore & Carnage, Clockwork, and Benny Benassi, just to name a few, the day turned into night and back to day before anyone even realized it happened.
The insanity continued on day 3 as we made our way to the OWSLA Party at Red Bull House where we undoubtedly had our share of fun.
Make sure you stay tuned for “Dim Mak Invades Miami – Part 3” to catch us at Ultra Music Festival.
When a song that mentions a “bowtie” makes you feel like some sort of fancy badass, you know that there has to be a musical mastermind (and his friends) behind it. Such is the case with Steve Aoki’s “Ooh” featuring Rob Roy off of the 2012 release of “Wonderland”.
This year, that unforgettable track has been given a fresh breath of life with remixes from Deorro, Gigi Barocco, Mustard Pimp, Lazerdisk Party Sex, and Dzeko & Torres. Each remixer brings their own taste and stylings to “Ooh” in ways that are instantly recognizable and just as infectious as the original track. Just when you thought it was perfect to begin with, these remixes highlight different aspects of the song while throwing individual flare into the mix. And the result is truly refreshing.
To top off all of the remixes, Steve released the music video for “Ooh” on March 22nd, which includes hot girls in straightjackets, a no-nonsense tough ass little kid, a sneak peek of the SoLRepublic x Aoki headphone collab, and uber creepy face painting.
So put on your bowtie, get yo’ head some screws, and join us in feeling real good about “Ooh” in all its various forms.
Welcome to The Aoki Files. This is a new web series Steve Aoki is doing focusing on all the new Dim Mak artists and their releases. Every week he will interview different artists that have released a new record on Dim Mak Records.
“Hey EP” – Toronto based duo Dzeko & Torres make their Dim Mak debut with “Hey” EP. The single “Hey” snatched listeners and steam after premiering on Steve’s Essential Mix BBC Radio 1. The trio tracks on “Hey” blend melodic synths, high energy builds and progressive sounds that dont cater to just one dance genre.
Dzeko & Torres made their Dim Mak debut this past week with the release of their three track EP, Hey. To follow the release, they’ve compiled their first Beatport Chart for us. The ten-track features a collection of tracks from Steve Aoki, Alesso, Basto, RL Grime, and more. You can grab your copy on Beatport now.

“HEY” – Hey is one of Dzeko & Torres first ventures in to the heavier-set realms of EDM. Although keeping aspects of their signature progressive melodies on the breakdowns, the track pulls a full 180 and drops into a hard hitting play of rising leads and grinding basslines. Met with an iconic ‘Hey’ chant, the track never stops building and is guaranteed to keep the crowd chanting along with their hands in the air the whole way through.
“BUPPY” – Still very much a big room track, “Buppy” explores a new sound stylistically for Dzeko&Torres. Its bouncy synth line drop and builders keep the track constantly grooving, designed for waking up the dance floor. On a proper sound system, the rhythmic tribal drums and punchy kick hit you high in your chest and the techy breakdown serves up the perfect opportunity for other EDM producers and DJ’s to get creative with their own edits.
“CHECK THIS OUT” – Check This Out is modern electro take on the old school rave sound. Sampling the famous vocal sample, the track builds with stuttered leads into a breakdown that pays homage to the fantastic melodies of Hardstyle and Happy Hardcore. Continuing to build, the track then drops back into the stuttered grunge, this time topped with a splash of an old school rave horn.
