Vancouver’s Felix Cartal is back with his new Credits EP, out today on Dim Mak Records. This three track EP includes “Ready For Love” featuring Chloe Angelides, “Who Even Am I,” and “Let It Go” featuring Lily Elise, continuing his evolution toward emotive songwriting and vocal-based melodies while still remaining true to his electro house roots.
On the captivating opening track “Ready For Love,” Felix Cartal delivers an inspirational, uplifting tune featuring vocalist Chloe Angelides, layering euphoric strength and beauty over Felix’s characteristic big-room sound. Sandwiched between the two more radio friendly tunes is “Who Even Am I,” the only instrumental on the EP and the most straightforward club track. Closing out the EP, “Let It Go” with vocals from Lily Elise combines indie pop and electronic elements in a way that’s far from coerced or cliche, and stands out in the sea of electronic collaborations.
Credits follows up a myriad of other Felix Cartal releases on Dim Mak Records, including the Past Present Felix EP, which debuted at #18 on iTunes Dance Albums, and the “New Scene (feat. Ofelia)” remixes EP. Felix’s music has been evolving since day one, and he now regularly collaborates with a dynamic array of producers and vocalists. The result is a unique sound that can be heard on his 2012 album Different Faces, which was nominated in the Best Dance Recording category at the 2013 JUNO Awards. In the last year alone, Felix has released official remixes for Zedd, The Bloody Beetroots, and Tiësto.

On Felix Cartal‘s latest single, “Let It Go,” the Canadian producer combines pop and electronic elements in a way that’s far from coerced or cliché in the sea of pop-EDM collabs. The track is one of three from his forthcoming EP, Credits, due out on April 29th via Steve Aoki‘s imprint, Dim Mak Records. Another striking detail of “Let It Go” is the beautiful and soulful vocals of Lily Elise. “This song serves as the final piece to my Credits EP, an EP of three songs that all complement each other differently. I wanted to continue the idea of my last EP where each song is different, but still sound like they are from the same sessions. My favorite part of this track has to be the ‘Let It Go’ break. It’s simple and powerful at the same time. Lily Elise made that all possible. Her voice is unreal,” Felix says.
“Let It Go” is the perfect made-for-film soundtrack to its accompanying black and white video. “I love what Kasey Lum came up with for the video. We filmed all day just around our city and I think the blend of animation with black and white footage creates this interesting surrealist vibe — a perfect complement to the song itself.”

As he prepares to hit the road once again this fall, Grammy-nominated international producer/DJ and electronic dance music entrepreneur STEVE AOKI has announced additional support acts for his upcoming Aokify America Tour. For the tour, AOKI has drafted an elite group of artists from the DIM MAK roster—the independent record label, events and lifestyle company, and apparel line he founded in 1996 and presenting partner of the tour—including Felix Cartal, Autoerotique, Dirtyphonics, Keys N Krates, Garmiani, Deorro, Rune RK, and Botnek as well as a new, specially designed production from performer Kryoman entitled HEX3D. Already featuring a stellar lineup with bass “Legend” Borgore and hip-hop heavyweight Waka Flocka Flame as direct support, with special guest Pharrell Williams (The Neptunes/N.E.R.D.) appearing on select dates, the Aokify America Tour stands as one of the highlights on this year’s touring circuit. Tickets for the Aokify America Tour are on sale now: aokifyamerica.com.
The newly confirmed rotating talent on the Aokify America Tour adds a diverse array of artists spanning a wide spectrum of electronic music styles. Coming off his most successful release to date with the Past, Present, Felix EP on Dim Mak Records—praised by ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT and BILLBOARD.COM, who called featured track “New Scene” “one of the best dance recordings of the year”—Felix Cartal brings his signature electro house sounds. Toronto-based electro producer Autoerotique adds a heavier sound to the mix, best exemplified on the latest track“Play It Again” and the recent Asphyxiation (Remixes) EP, both out now on Dim Mak Records. Featured on AOKI’s Deadmeat Tour in 2012, French electronic dance music quartet DIRTYPHONICS return with their trademark heavy bass heard on their debut full-length album Irreverence and the corresponding No Stopping Us (Remixes) EP, both available now on Dim Mak Records. Dubbed “EDM’s hottest live band” by BILLBOARD.COM and featured by USA Today, Toronto-based live electronic outfit Keys N Krates recently released their SOLOW EP on Dim Mak Records, which highlights their trap-tinged electronic/hip-hop hybrid sound. Also featured on the tour are producers Garmiani, Deorro, house/techno artist Rune RK, and production/DJ duo Botnek. Additionally, performer Kryoman introduces his innovative production setup HEX3D on the Aokify America Tour, which pushes the boundaries of live, audiovisual performance art.
The new talent is not the only major tour announcement being made though. A proponent of pro-social causes and a philanthropist in his own right, AOKI’s Steve Aoki Charitable Fund is donating a dollar for every ticket sold throughout the tour to a charity selected by his fans via Facebook. Furthermore, for every year AOKI has been alive, he will match a corresponding $1,000 for a total of $36,000 on the tour. Fans will be encouraged to vote for their chosen charity from a group of four pre-selected organizations, including: American Brain Foundation, committed to curing brain disease; University of Rochester – Memory Care Program, providing diagnosis, treatment, and care of neurodegenerative conditions that affect the elderly and the aging nervous system; Brain Preservation Foundation, evaluating “plastination” and “cryonics,” two ways doctors might inexpensively preserve the brain of a dying person; and Infusio, pushing the fusion of cutting-edge science and the newest developments in complementary medicine placed in a spa-like healing environment. Fans can vote via a dedicated poll on STEVE AOKI’s official Facebook page (www.facebook.com/Steve.Aoki) starting October 9 through November 23. Following the tour, AOKI will hand deliver the check to the chosen charity. For more information, visit: www.steveaokifund.com.
Meanwhile, STEVE AOKI is dominating the music world with the massive Linkin Parkcollaboration “A Light That Never Comes,” out now on Warner Bros. Records, and“Boneless,” a collaboration with Chris Lake and Tujamo (Ultra Music), which hit #1on Beatport.
FELIX CARTAL is fresh off the success of his most recent EP, Past Present Felix, with the hit lead single “Young Love”. The follow-up single, “After Dark”, takes a more euphoric approach with enchanting melodies and hypnotizing female vocals.
It seems like just yesterday when we were all jamming the eff out to the brilliant collaboration of Felix Cartal and Clockwork’s “The Fire (ft. Madame Buttons)”. Oh wait…it was just yesterday. And every day since it was released, right?
It’s been an incredible year for our boy, Felix Cartal. With several chart-topping singles and his newly released “Past, Present, Felix” EP already climbing to the top of the iTunes & Beatport charts, Felix is gearing up for one of the most successful years in his career so far.

“Young Love” featuring Koko LaRoo by FELIX CARTAL managed to encapsulate the sounds of summer, nostalgia, and, of course, young love. The fetching and popular track is back to thrill listeners, this time with remixes by VALENTINO KHAN, SLEEPY TOM, BURNS, and THE REEF.
Felix Cartal pushes the definition of “multifaceted” to new heights. Poster child of a perfect coif, Slurpee aficionado, workout warrior, and lover of a decent font; but above all of that, Felix is one heck of a producer who seems to know exactly what his fans want, and how to deliver in a way…
Felix Cartal’s new video for “Young Love,” the first single off his upcoming Past Present Felix EP and starring vocals from Koko LaRoo, is basically about a bunch of babes in bikinis bouncing on bicycles and bashing balloons at boys. Hope you like the letter B.
Opening shot: four ripped bros strolling down a Vancouver sidewalk. “I just finished lunch with the guys,” the main muscly guy who forgot to button his shirt says on his phone [italics are mine]. “I’m just chilling at the pool with the girls,” purrs a buxom babe at the end of the line as she slowly spreads oil all over her assets [italics again mine]. This delineation between the sexes is extremely important because it sets up the rest of the storyline, which is a—spoiler alert—PRANK WAR: GIRLS VERSUS GUYS!!!
As soon as the bros arrive at the pool (so jelly of that gigantic floating pretzel btw), guns and carnage ensue. Is this a sly political commentary on gun control laws in America? Nah… let’s just stick with balloons and boobs.
Do you like water balloons, bikes, babes and oversized pretzels? Then you’re in luck! Felix Cartal‘s new super summery music video for “Young Love feat. Koko LaRoo” comes out in just 2 more days! Check the video above for a quick snippet of what to look forward to.
Felix Cartal’s new single, “Young Love”, taken from his upcoming Past Present Felix EP, embodies the season that often evokes such memories …summer. With a sun-drenched beat, chilling vocals provided by Koko LaRoo, lyrics of youthfulness and the infectious energy that…

Some of the biggest tracks on Dim Mak have been the result of collaborations while on tour including Phat Brahms, Madness, and No Beef. Felix Cartal & Clockwork are keeping the tradition alive with their latest release, “The Fire” .
Hear that? That rumbling coming from your speakers? WHAT IS IT? It’s like that scene in Jurassic Park where the T-Rex is coming and the water in the car is vibrating with the footsteps… only this time, it’s something far bigger than an oversized lizard. It’s the latest single from Felix Cartal, and this time he’s bringing Clockwork along for the ride! Felix released a teaser for the track, entitled “The Fire (feat. There is no such thing as ordinary in the world of Steve Aoki, especially when it comes time to interview Dim Mak Artists. This fact rings especially true for the 22nd episode of AOKI FILES Miami Edition where Steve talks to Felix Cartal and AutoErotique and tries to get a word in edgewise.
The two Canadian producers, who recently collaborated on the completely insane track “The Alarm”, discuss what it would be like if they did a country-wide tour together (it involves a small hatchback) and who deserves the credit for making the phenomenal “The Alarm” (Felix is pretty sure he deserves all the credit). Felix and Keith both drop some fresh-out-the-oven information about new tracks coming up as, well as upcoming collaborations with other huge names in the game. One thing is for sure, when these two mega-producers get together with an extremely excited Aoki, the outcome is sure to make you do some ball grabbing of your own.
