Amsterdam trio Yellow Claw and Dutch duo LNY TNZ have partnered to unleashed the perfect party-starting anthem in the form of “Last Night Ever.” The Dim Mak fixture encourages the “you only live once” mindset in this explosive electro track helmed by jagged drumrolls, thunderous hardstyle breakdowns and raspy vocals reminding listeners to act like tonight’s the last night ever.
After an eclectic musical career careening between trap, dubstep, electro, hip-hop and moombahton, Yellow Claw has combined their assorted production prowesses in their latest release “Last Night Ever.” The multi-faceted trio has touted their signature brassy sound across the globe, performing at festivals like Tomorrowland and Made In America and releasing music on influential imprints like Dim Mak, Mad Decent, Spinnin’ Records, Fool’s Gold and Ultra Records.
Launching into the spotlight with “Last Night Ever,” LNY TNZ make a bold entrance to the dance music sphere and show no signs of slowing down. The Dutch duo has already produced alongside Diplo and Yellow Claw for “Techno,” and released “Shotgun” under Spinnin’ Records sub-label SPRS.
“Last Night Ever” was reupholstered by Canadian duo Thugli and Netherlands producer Isaac. Premiered on Thump, Thugli‘s remix slowed the rapid-fire track down to a more relaxed tempo centering around anticipatory vocal drops and crawling drumrolls. Netherlands producer Isaac also reworked the tune, taking a more melodic approach with atmospheric synth work and hardstyle-infused bridges.
“150 BPM” received over 1,000 remix treatments from around the globe, but only two were chosen to be released on the remix EP. We would like to congratulate the Grand Prize winner ‘The Unit’ who revamped the tune with bass in-your-face growls and agreed that “this track would be a hit at 150 beats per minute!” The runner up ‘Not Available’ was personally chosen by Coone for his well crafted switch up from Hardstyle to Big Room House.
Steve Aoki teams up with Coone, our first-ever hardstyle artist, to unleash their new collaboration “Can’t Stop The Swag.” The single is Aoki’s first foray into the burgeoning hardstyle movement and this track mixes Aoki’s house production with Coone’s renowned aggressiveness. “Can’t Stop The Swag” underlines Aoki’s and Dim Mak’s assault of the hardstyle scene.
Over the past decade, Belgian DJ extraordinaire Coone(aka Koen Bauweraerts) has been building a name for himself in dance music circles as a global ambassador for hardstyle, the bass-heavy, high-BPM genre that’s managed to wallop its way over the Atlantic from Europe. And stateside clubbers have indeed taken notice, with LA-based arbiter of taste Steve Aoki signing Coone to his own Dim Mak label. Hardstyle, it seems, is set for worldwide take-off. Now here’s your chance to make your mark in 2014 by remixing Coone’s hard-storming anthem “150 BPM” from his latest album, Global Dedication. Enter this Play contest before February 3 for your chance to win a Novation Launchkey 49, a Novation Launchpad S, and an official release on Dim Mak Records.
True to form, hardstyle is finishing out 2013 with a bang. One of the genre’s brightest stars, Belgian artist Coone, releases “Global Dedication,” his full-length U.S. debut today (Dec. 10) on Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak Records and his own Dirty Workz imprint. After nearly a decade of making music, the artist, born Koen Bauweraerts, is ready to launch an All-American aural assault.
“It’s all about getting the sound and the feeling of hardstyle worldwide,” says Coone of the album. “I use the word ‘dedication’ a lot. I really think the hardstyle fans are one of the most dedicated and loyal people within the EDM scene.”
For those still uninitiated, the concept of hardstyle might seem intimidating. Several of Coone’s tracks, like the TomorrowWorld hardstyle stage theme “Our Fairytale,” soften the rough edges of a sound designed to jolt your system with anthemic vocals and melodic toplines. There are also tracks that simply hit hard. According to the artist, this is intentional.
‘Global Dedication’ epitomizes the current hardstyle sound and underlines Coone’s mission to spread its influence across the world. The album features an array of leading figures within the global hardstyle scene, including: Wildstylez on “This Is Home” featuring Cimo Fränkel; Frontliner on “World Domination”; Hard Driver on “Showtime”; and several others. Listen to all 14 tracks and tell us your favorite!
Belgian jumpstyle and hardstyle producer/musician/DJ and Dim Mak’s first-ever hardstyle artist Coone unleashes his newest single “Zombie Killer” this Halloween (October 31) on Dim Mak Records. The track, featuring rapper Kritikal, is the third single from Coone’s upcoming album Global Dedication. This highly thrilling track is set to send chills down the spines of hardstyle and electronic music fans. “Zombie Killer” offers plenty of monster-themed sound effects and tortured screeching to drive listeners into wild excitement at festival stages around the globe. The raw energy that is persistent in all of Coone’s original productions is taken beyond the grave by New York-based hip-hop artist Kritikal.

When it comes to heavy bass, haunting lyrics belted out with soaring vocals, dirty beats, and overall badassery…who do you turn to? If you didn’t answer DIRTYPHONICS, then you are wrong and need to reevaluate your life/music situation. The only way to make a DIRTYPHONICS song even dirtier is to add the talents of the cake lovin’ Borgore and trap producer extraordinaire Ookay; the results of such a collaboration can be heard in the Hardstyle-inspired remix these two heavy hitters produced on the Dirtyphonics track “Hanging On Me”. Full of subtle drops and vibey bass, “Hanging on Me (Borgore & Ookay remix)” is sexy and fun, which is just what we’d expect from a fusion of all this talent in one place.
