In a dream collaboration, electronic masterminds Keys N Krates link up with prodigious bass producer KRANE (formerly KRNE) for the sublime “Right Here,” fusing elements of future bass and melodic trap to offer up a surefire classic.
We all know Keys N Krates play by their own rules when creating their far from ordinary trap inspired beats. Well, we got to spend some rehearsal time with the trio to see just how they make the musical magic happen. The production of their latest single, “Treat Me Right” released on Dim Mak Records, started off as a jam session with Adam Tune on drums, David Matisse playing keys, and Jr. Flow mixing on the turntables. KNK likes to record their music like a traditional band, “jamming it out until something comes out” says Adam. Watch as they rehearse for their live performance of “Treat Me Right”.
The internet has spoken, Keys N Krates – “Treat Me Right” topped the popular chart over at hypem.com on Saturday. As shown on the right, “Treat Me Right” was topping the chart over some heavy hitters like Drake and Lana Del Rey. Big thanks to everyone who is loving and liking the song. Be sure to catch them at our party this week in Austin during SxSW and then next week in Miami during MMW.
