SUMMERTIME #SELFIE FROM THE STREETS OF MIAMI

1595 829 Tim Gauthier

The Chainsmokers headed to Miami armed with Instagram and a No.1 single for some sunshine, sand, and… plenty of butts. Armin van Buuren, Nicky Romero, Dyro, Dave Nada, and even Ashley Sky wanted to get in on the summertime action so our chainsmoking friends invited them to be in their video. They were like, OK, but first let me take a #selfie.

Dim Mak Invades Miami – Part 3

829 462 Tim Gauthier

In this final installment of our 3 part series, the Dim Mak crew takes a day off (from our oh so hard lives) to enjoy a second day on the yacht where we got a visit from Xtreme Fly Board. They were nice enough to let us steal one of their jet-skis as well as let us try to fly around the bay. After a nice day, we ended our long week at Ultra Music Festival. We followed Steve to UMF for his second weekend performance at the festival…

Dim Mak Invades Miami – Part 2

938 938 Tim Gauthier

The party never stops when the Dim Mak crew is on scene. If you thought day 1 in Miami was wild then days 2 and 3 of WMC 2013 were nothing less than savage.

Things got wet and, well, weird as we hosted our highly anticipated Dim Mak Records Pool Party on Day 2. The Raleigh Hotel pool was full of babes in bikinis and dudes ready to dance their faces off. With rousing performances by Steve Aoki, Dzeko & Torres, Dirtyphonics, Laidback Luke, Keys N Krates, Yolanda Be Cool, Borgore & Carnage, Clockwork, and Benny Benassi, just to name a few, the day turned into night and back to day before anyone even realized it happened.

The insanity continued on day 3 as we made our way to the OWSLA Party at Red Bull House where we undoubtedly had our share of fun.

Make sure you stay tuned for “Dim Mak Invades Miami – Part 3” to catch us at Ultra Music Festival.

543 460 Tim Gauthier

The AOKI FILES: MIAMI EDITION episodes are still rolling in, and this latest installment features the genre-hopping Belgium based producers SOUND OF STEREO. Steve goes poolside with the guys to talk about their mystical EP “UNICORN”. You know that a release is going to be damn good when the producers say that this is the product of a sound they’ve wanted to make for a long time, and that is the case with UNICORN. From melodic chillness to clubby bangers, UNICORN is a truly magical collection of songs. Hot on the heels of UNICORN is the very recent release of “ORIGIN”, a two-track EP with heavy heavy drops and intense festival vibes. These guys are totally on fire, and we here at Dim Mak are stoked to let you feel the heat!

Adam Tune, David Matisse, and Jr. Flo fill Steve in on the live jam that became their masterpiece new single, “Treat Me Right” released on Dim Mak Records.

KNK also explain their traditional band-like production process which gives that “live feel” to all their music and performances.

“Treat Me Right” hit number one on Hype Machine and charting on Beatport. Be sure to keep your ears open for their next EP coming out soon on Dim Mak Records.

SHOWTEK’s latest single “Slow Down”, released on Dim Mak Records has been killing it on the Beatport charts, easily breaking it’s way into Beatport’s Top10. This genre-crossing tune toys with three different BPMs that are sure to get you on your feet and running to the dance floor.

The Aoki Files *MIAMI EDITION* Episode #22 w/ Felix Cartal and AutoErotique

811 466 Tim Gauthier

There is no such thing as ordinary in the world of Steve Aoki, especially when it comes time to interview Dim Mak Artists. This fact rings especially true for the 22nd episode of AOKI FILES Miami Edition where Steve talks to Felix Cartal and AutoErotique and tries to get a word in edgewise.

The two Canadian producers, who recently collaborated on the completely insane track “The Alarm”, discuss what it would be like if they did a country-wide tour together (it involves a small hatchback) and who deserves the credit for making the phenomenal “The Alarm” (Felix is pretty sure he deserves all the credit). Felix and Keith both drop some fresh-out-the-oven information about new tracks coming up as, well as upcoming collaborations with other huge names in the game. One thing is for sure, when these two mega-producers get together with an extremely excited Aoki, the outcome is sure to make you do some ball grabbing of your own.
