Steve Aoki 2012 ‘Wonderland’ Album // Aoki & Datsik Announce ‘Deadmeat Tour’

To support his debut studio album WONDERLAND, due out January 10, 2012, STEVE AOKI will launch his biggest tour ever: DEADMEAT, presented by Dim Mak.

For the DEADMEAT Tour, AOKI will partner with dubstep’s hottest new producer and Dim Mak label mate Datsik. The pair will travel across North America throughout winter 2012 and perform at some of the most renowned theaters and concert arenas, including the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco, the Fillmore in Denver, Boston’s House of Blues, Montreal’s Metropolis and New York City’s legendary Roseland Ballroom (Los Angeles details are forthcoming).

The DEADMEAT Tour will showcase the debut of new live visual productions from both AOKI and Datsik alongside an all-star supporting lineup of some of the most sought-after, up-and-coming producers in electronic music today, including Alvin Risk, Mustard Pimp, Autoerotique, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and Terravita, who will perform throughout the trek on alternating dates. More supporting acts and dates will be announced soon. Tickets for the DEADMEAT Tour will go on sale starting Saturday, December 3 at 10 a.m. at www.deadmeattour.com.

MUSTARD PIMP: Unofficial world champion of electronic wind midi instrumental for 5 years in a row.

INTO THE AM: What was the first live show you went to?

MUSTARD PIMP: Herbert Leonard, 1992

INTO THE AM: What was your inspiration to get into the music business?

MUSTARD PIMP: My uncle who was an amateur accordion player.he had a nice mustache by the way.

INTO THE AM: What is your favorite song and genre outside of the EDM genre?

MUSTARD PIMP: Kim Jong Il – If I Had An Hammer , and generally Ecuatorian pop

INTO THE AM: What is the most memorable “essential mix” of all time in your opinion?

MUSTARD PIMP: I never really check the essential mixes,but if Chris Liberator,Venetian Snares or The Destroyer made one,that’s probably the best.

INTO THE AM: What are your Halloween plans? Are you dressing up?

MUSTARD PIMP: Probably Kim Jong Il, I bought the same sunglasses on ebay,just need to find the parka now.

INTO THE AM: What is the first thing you do after you finish a project like your new LP “No Title or Purpose”?

MUSTARD PIMP: Go deer hunting in Nebraska,and probably get drunk with locals and get shot at the point i’ll say I collect Bibles from hotel rooms.

Mustard Pimp’s full length album, “No Title Or Purpose”, is set for release on Dim Mak this October. The album, a patchwork of their diverse influences, features collaborations with some of today’s rising and established stars including: Skrillex, Atari Teenage Riot, Chali 2na and more. The first single, “Money Shot”, an intense rocker of a track, features Jimmy Urine of the famed group Mindless Self Indulgence and was released worldwide on Dim Mak in March. The second single, “ZHM”, released in July, comes with a cause celebrate music video already banned on YouTube. The third single, “Catch Me”, features Alec Empire (of Dim Mak’s own Atari Teenage Riot) over frenetic breakbeats and is set for release in September leading up to the album.
