439_10151354435996235_886935377_nDim Mak Records artists are at it once again! Just in time for your weekend chaos, TrackItDowns O4TW for the weekend of March 21st has been released with 50 tunes guaranteed to make your life feel like some super cool ninja/dance party movie. On the list, you’ll find Dim Mak’s very own DIRTYPHONICS with the track “Los Angeles” (feat. Modestep), and the new JIDAX track “Phenomena”.

The Dirtyphonics track featured on this fresh-out-the-oven bundle is off the debut of “Irreverence”, which was released Tuesday; this album is full of surprises that will leave you feeling as though you’ve been transported into an alternate universe where Mozart found his love of bass. “Los Angeles” is homage to a city infamous for a nightlife that makes all other cities look like the set of Golden Girls. An infectious beat paired with haunting vocals, Dirtyphonics “Los Angeles” is one to play with the windows down. In fact, if you’re going to bump the “Irreverence” album (and I know you will), it’d be safe to just go ahead and have your car windows removed and send out a memo to the neighbors, because things are getting louder and dirtier than ever before.

Also on the TrackItDown’s O4TW is JIDAX’s “Phenomena”, off of the EP released Tuesday under the same name. “Phenomena” starts off slow and steady and builds into a rambunctious track, reminiscent of the early days house music. I dare you to listen to this jam without doing that little shoulder twitch/head bob dance thing we all do when we listen to solid anthems. You know the one. “Phenomena” serves as a reminder that the Parisian duo have staying power in the world of dance.

Congrats to these Dim Mak Records mainstays on making the TrackItDown list this weekend! High fives all around.

At the outset of the month that always brings the sun and seductive floor play of Miami WMC, the French phenomenon now globally known as Jidax returns to Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak imprint with latest single “Phenomena”. Having debuted on the imprint with “Resistencia” back in 2012 and since provided blistering remix duties for Aoki’s “Come With Me” single alongside Polina, the duos return to Dim Mak is as poignant as we have come to expect from the Parisian peak timers.

“Phenomena” celebrates the duos proud musical heritage while pinpointing the ardent energy that their signature blend of modern club fuel has come to hallmark over the years. In a stern wave of intense synth work and elegant melodic progressions, the duos uplifting yet versatile production ascends into a high-octane spree of big room beats and old school sample work, balancing the dance floor deviance unapologetically festival proof tendencies that have come to hold the relative newcomers in such high esteem to date. Add diverse B With a spree of spots already locked down at this years Miami WMC and further productions ready and raring to make their way onto the club floor, the new age French phenomenon hit all the right notes for Aoki’s renowned musical stronghold with this coming of age floor filler.
