The March of the Afrojack series continues its wild parade in this latest installment, which finds the Dutch EDM superstar pool-party hopping in a whirlwind of DJ set debauchery with buddies Calvin Harris, Laidback Luke and Steve Aoki.
Afrojack heads over to Aoki’s pool party where the champagne flowed, the beats boomed and Afrojack proclaimed the Dim Mak honcho, “my best friend in music. I don’t know anyone I’m closer to in the whole music scene than Steve Aoki.”
The two go on to discuss their own friendship, with Aoki recalling their first meeting around 2009 and the track, “Show Me Your Hands,” that instantly came about from their first session together. The clip ends with some truly unique footage of “Afroki” – as the two so call themselves – swapping beats and working on what’s sure to be another raucous collaboration.

Welcome to The Aoki Files. This is a new web series Steve Aoki is doing focusing on all the new Dim Mak artists and their releases. Every week he will interview different artists that have released a new record on Dim Mak Records.
Steve Aoki twerks it out at the Dim Mak Pool Party with Keys N Krates for episode #26 of Aoki Files *MIAMI EDITION*. There is nothing ordinary about this toronto-based-trio whose sound is just as unique as their music making process. Adam Tune, David Matisse, and Jr. Flo fill Steve in on the live jam that became their masterpiece new single, “Treat Me Right” released on Dim Mak Records.
KNK also explain their traditional band-like production process which gives that “live feel” to all their music and performances.
There is no such thing as ordinary in the world of Steve Aoki, especially when it comes time to interview Dim Mak Artists. This fact rings especially true for the 22nd episode of AOKI FILES Miami Edition where Steve talks to Felix Cartal and AutoErotique and tries to get a word in edgewise.
The two Canadian producers, who recently collaborated on the completely insane track “The Alarm”, discuss what it would be like if they did a country-wide tour together (it involves a small hatchback) and who deserves the credit for making the phenomenal “The Alarm” (Felix is pretty sure he deserves all the credit). Felix and Keith both drop some fresh-out-the-oven information about new tracks coming up as, well as upcoming collaborations with other huge names in the game. One thing is for sure, when these two mega-producers get together with an extremely excited Aoki, the outcome is sure to make you do some ball grabbing of your own.
Every year, Miami hosts one of the biggest weeks in electronic music alongside Ultra Music Festival, the Winter Music Conference/ Miami Music Week. In our latest video installment we’d like to invite you to tag along with Ashley and Kimbo in their adventure to last years Dim Mak x Obey The Kitty Pool Party at WMC. Watch as these two West Coast girls party on with cameos from Steve Aoki, PeaceTreaty, Dirtyphonics, R3hab, Lil Jon, Tommy Gunz, and more.
“Too many DJs. No, really, way too many DJs.”
… I think the right amount was applied here. Miami really jumped off in a big way for Dim Mak. After the first official party hosted at Mansion, with guest performers including the boss-man Steve Aoki, Datsik, Joachim Garraud, Felix Cartal, Dirtyphonics, and many many many more, we decided to drag out the night into an all-day pool party, hosted at Dream Hotel.
Sidney Samson, R3hab, Joachim Garraud, Felix Cartal, Alvin Risk, and others joined Steve Aoki while he literally turned a swanky pool-club into a mini Ultra Fest-
“We popped by the Dim Mak party at the Dream South Beach’s Highbar just in time to randomly run into XS co-owner Jesse Waits, who was holding court with DJs including R3hab and Steve Aoki. XS is part of Steve Wynn’s collection of Las Vegas nightclubs, and Wynn made a monster announcement earlier in the week about 34 exclusive DJ residencies, including Tiesto, David Guetta, Calvin Harris, Skrillex and Swedish House Mafia’s Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso. Wynn, no doubt, is one of the largest forces financing the DJ craze in America. Vegas, in general, is responsible for keeping so many of the biggest international DJs well-fed. Both Wynn and the group behind Vegas clubs Marquee, Tao and Lavo (which ran the VIP tables at the Ultra Music Festival) flew huge banners above the beach to remind visitors of that.
Aoki jumped into the DJ booth and was soon joined by Lil Jon. Aoki took off his shirt, climbed into an inflatable raft, got thrown in the pool and jumped back into the booth, soaked. S.S. Aoki fans were delighted. Not long after, Afrojack (who brought girlfriend Paris Hilton) joined Aoki in the booth.”
