“The Wait Is Over. The World Is Over.”

After years of anticipation, Proxy at last presents his debut LP, MUSIC FROM THE EASTBLOCK JUNGLES, PT. 1. Beloved by top DJs and stadium crowds the world over, the undisputed master of the “Turn It Up to 11” movement has created an album that harnesses the pure spirit of legit rave culture, with 11 tracks that span and elevate countless genres – notably inflected by classic bass and DnB – without regard for trends or ephemeral influences. The album is the product of an artist who forged a sound in complete isolation, with visa problems leading him to entrench himself in the middle of nowhere in his native Russia, continuing in the UK rave tradition of his Essex-spawned idols, The Prodigy.

Proxy’s upcoming release featured in URB Magazine

644 644 Tim Gauthier

URB Magazine recently featured Proxy’s November 6th release, Music From the Eastblock Jungles Pt.1 in their latest, Album in Focus feature. URB describes the album as a “rare body of work that invokes the classic rhetoric and arrangements of D&B/Jungle, while maintaining one fit in the door of the current grit and grime that has encompassed the darker state of EDM in the current market.” With days away from the release, Proxy’s album is now available for pre-order on iTunes.

Annie Mac & BBC Radio 1 Present “New Music Monday’s feat. Proxy – Junk”

500 500 Tim Gauthier

The new single from Proxy’s debut LP, MUSIC FROM THE EASTBLOCK JUNGLES PT. 1, “Junk” is a maelstrom of old-skool breaks and wailing synth-sirens, featuring a brilliant cut-up vocal sample commanding your synapses to give up and break down. This is the kind of atom-smashing cortex-ruiner that only Proxy can deliver, offering a taste of the years-in-the-making arms buildup contained on his album.

The lovely Annie Mac had taken hold of the upcoming single, and hosted an exclusive download of “Junk” on her “New Music Monday’s” channel, in conjunction with BBC Radio 1! Get the download while is lasts below:

Dim Mak is proud to release the next installment off Proxy’s line of “MUSIC FROM THE EASTBLOCK JUNGLES”, with this single premiere; “Shut Up”.

“Shut Up!” is packed with a brutal hip-hop vocal decrying mainstream pop laid out over the bluntest of beats, armed with weapons-grade bass and PROXY’s trademark, dread-inspiring atmospherics. The track will be accompanied with remixes from Dim Mak label mates GTRONIC and VCO. Belgian titan GTRONIC lends his heavy bass trash sound for a grinding rendition of “Shut Up!” crammed with low-end intensity. Los Angeles-based duo VCO rework “Shut Up!” into a techno-house frenzy. Closing out the release, rising Canadian star John Roman uncovers the pitch-black soul of “Shut Up!” and lets it unfold over six minutes of malevolent techno, while Belgian house duo Sound of Stereo unleash an equally dark and fully loaded house remake.

“An aggressively belligerent and totally dope single off the new album, dripping with raw, spirited hip-hop swagger” – VIBE

Proxy’s ‘Music From The Eastblock Jungles’ & North American Tour

414 414 Tim Gauthier

Russian producer PROXY makes his long-awaited return with the release of his debut album MUSIC FROM THE EASTBLOCK JUNGLES PART 1, out November 6 via Dim Mak Records. A shocking display of hardcore sonic violence, MUSIC FROM THE EASTBLOCK JUNGLES PART 1 is the first installment of a two-part series from the world-renowned artist, with the second chapter scheduled for release in early 2013.

Beloved by top DJs and stadium crowds the world over, PROXY has created a work that harnesses the spirit of pure rave culture, with over 20 combined tracks that span and elevate countless genres—notably inflected by classic bass and drum ‘n’ bass culture—without regard for trends or ephemeral influences. Released in two parts, the MUSIC FROM THE EASTBLOCK JUNGLES series showcases the prolific underground rave-czar‘s wide-spanning body of work.

MUSIC FROM THE EASTBLOCK JUNGLES PART 1 opens the audio siege with flag-bearing marches (“Raja Ganja”), imperial air-raid bangers (“Raw”) and unhinged breakbeat madness (“Junk”). MUSIC FROM THE EASTBLOCK JUNGLES PART 1 is the product of an artist who forged a sound in complete isolation, with visa problems leading him to entrench himself in the remoteness of his native Russia, continuing in the U.K. rave tradition of his Essex-spawned idols, The Prodigy. Years in the making, the album features a massive stockpile of new material, as well as PROXY classics both renowned (“Raven”) and unreleased (“Abyss”).

Prior to the release of MUSIC FROM THE EASTBLOCK JUNGLES PART 1, Dim Mak will unleash album track “Shut Up!”. Out October 16, “Shut Up!” is packed with a brutal hip-hop vocal decrying mainstream pop laid out over the bluntest of beats, armed with weapons-grade bass and PROXY’s trademark, dread-inspiring atmospherics. The track is accompanied with remixes from Dim Mak label mates GTRONIC and VCO. Belgian titan GTRONIC lends his heavy bass trash sound for a grinding rendition of “Shut Up!” crammed with low-end intensity. Los Angeles-based duo VCO rework “Shut Up!” into a techno-house frenzy.
