This summer #WAVEY has been one of LA’s hottest pool-party destinations and last Sunday, July 5th, was no exception. In Fourth of July spirit, The Well and Dim Mak kept the party going with their weekly Sunday bash providing awesome food, patriotic cocktails, and of course, incredible music. Featuring performances from Todd Edwards, Brillstein, Cocodisco, Bathhouse, and Steve Miller, the party was epic to say the least.
#WAVEY party-goers began filing into Downtown LA’s Hotel Figueroa at 1:30 PM, and Cocodisco took the stage soon after at 2:00. Her smooth, soulful set provided the perfect warmup for the afternoon’s festivities. Bathhouse followed with an equally impressive set, and by the time headliner Brillstein came on at 4:00, the party was in full swing. The local legend delivered an upbeat yet diverse set, showcasing his signature chunky house patterns. As the weather warmed up, so did the music — Brillstein was bringing the heat. Attendees munched on delicious tacos and sipped Independence Day cocktails while grooving to Brillstein’s beats.
The party kicked it up another notch when Todd Edwards, known as ‘Daft Punk’s secret weapon,’ emerged behind the turntables around 5:30. Edwards, aka ‘Todd the God,’ threw down a versatile set, dropping both his newer works as well as his garage house classics. The set maintained an incredible energy, which perfectly complemented the party’s madness. Edwards’ upbeat vibes carried over to Steve Miller’s set, the last performance of the night. Despite the evening’s cooling temperatures, the pool was still the event’s main attraction and the party kept on going.
All in all, the #WAVEY July 5th event was a huge success. With great food, delicious drinks, amazing music, and a crowd filled with tastemakers, what more could you want from a Sunday pool party? Luckily for us, the fun isn’t stopping anytime soon, as #WAVEY will continue every Sunday until September 27th.
This Sunday, July 12, the party will take place once again from 1:30-8:00 PM at Downtown LA’s Hotel Figueroa. We can look forward to performances from Thee Mike B, named ‘Best Club DJ’ by Los Angeles Magazine, deep house extraordinaire Sage Caswell, The Well resident DJs Cocodisco and Steve Miller, and local talent, Lex Famous. Aside from the amazing music, attendees can also expect #WAVEY’s infamous tacos, delicious cocktails, playful pool floats, and overall incredible vibes. On September 27th, the electronic music festival TomorrowWorld brought its transcendent chaos to Chattahoochee Hills in Atlanta, Georgia. Now fans can experience the sensory overload with the new “Up All Night TomorrowWorld” video, which condenses the hectic event into one seven-minute blast.
The video features performance footage from several Dim Mak Records acts (Steve Aoki, Borgore, Carnage, Deorro) blended with frenetic crowd shots (fireworks, glowsticks, concertgoers in strange costumes). There are also some intimate backstage moments, like Aoki playing Autoerotique in a $1,000 game of rock, paper, scissors.

Every year, Miami hosts one of the biggest weeks in electronic music alongside Ultra Music Festival, the Winter Music Conference/ Miami Music Week. In our latest video installment we’d like to invite you to tag along with Ashley and Kimbo in their adventure to last years Dim Mak x Obey The Kitty Pool Party at WMC. Watch as these two West Coast girls party on with cameos from Steve Aoki, PeaceTreaty, Dirtyphonics, R3hab, Lil Jon, Tommy Gunz, and more.
This past Tuesday on October 16 the Dim Mak family and friends came together to celebrate our Marketing Director, Bryan “B!” Linares’s birthday. We wanted to bring back the good ol’ Cinespace days we all remembered so fondly in honor of his special day. DMS was almost a mirror image to Cinespace that night – which brought you some of the newest talent every Tuesday including artists such as Lady GaGa, DJ AM, Justice, Kanye West and others.
We brought back the Hollywood Blvd. entrance, replicating the old days to help bring a more intimate setting to the club (which we’ve decided to bring back every Tuesday from now on.) Dan Oh, Them Jeans, and Pase Rock took the stage with old school hits that you wouldn’t hear in clubs today including throwback hip hop, electro, and indie. If i remember correctly I definitely heard old tracks from Mr.Oizo in the mix, who took the stage a few times at Cinespace.
Last but not least, we didn’t let B! get away with out our infamous birthday caking, to show how much we all appreciate him. I mean what’s a birthday with out a face full of cake, right? LOL. Overall Tuesday was a great time that felt more like a house party more anything with great music, friends, and lots of drinks. Check out our album on our Facebook from the night in case you don’t remember much or didn’t make it out to this night of nostalgia.
