Israeli DJ-producer Borgore has a knack for stitching together eclectic styles. As a former death-metal drummer, he brings a hard-hitting approach to his electronic tunes – but he’s still savvy enough to collaborate with artists of very different genres. On his new single, “Wild Out,” he brings both a pop singer, Paige, and a rapper, Waka Flocka Flame, into the fold.
Borgore had high praise for her, as well as for his guest rapper. “Working with Waka was like working with the energy of an MMA fight, while Paige brought a serene, silky, angel-like voice and I had to somehow mix them both together. Mission.”
“Wild Out” will be released on October 15th, on Dim Mak Records, and it’s available for pre-order on iTunes and Borgore’s official website. The Wild Out EP will be released later this fall.

Qulinez are having the time of their lives. Childhood pals Alexander Lager and Johannes Gustafsson were discovered by Swedish House Mafia’s Steve Angello, who picked up his fellow Swedes for his label Size Records. Now, Qulinez have linked up with another big name name in electronic music – Steve Aoki and his label, Dim Mak – for their single “Drop It,” and they’re serving up a relentlessly intense mix around their new track. Sounds from the Bloody Beetroots, Carnage and Borgore, and Marin Solveig fly by, but the focus remains on “Drop It” and its interplay with a little bit of Daft Punk.
“Their sound is hard and heavy, just how we like it!” Aoki tells Rolling Stone. “This mix hits just as strongly as their live sets. When I listen to it, I feel like I’m right there with them.”

YOU GUYS. I was already excited about it being Friday, had already done my celebratory “it’s Friday” dance and everything, and then I find out that Rolling Stone is giving away some Dim Mak Records music like right freaking now!
“We wrote the song ‘Mexico’ after we toured a few times driving across the U.S. desert. It’s pretty mind blowing if you’re from the U.K. because there is nothing like it there at all. The heat, the space, it’s like another planet. All the time we would be driving near the border and stopping in places like El Paso, but we never made it into Mexico itself,” The Scanners Matthew Mole tells Rolling Stone. “So I suppose it always had some strange romantic appeal to us. I suppose that’s why we were so conscious of being ‘so far from home’.”

RollingStone caught up with Datsik backstage at Coachella to see how it feels to headline Coachella, play 2 major shows in 2 weeks, and to be at the pinnacle of the dubstep & EDM lime light:
“I’m on this big scissor lift and throughout my set, I raise up over 10 feet,” enthused dubstep DJ Datsik backstage about his Coachella set, which headlined the festival’s electro-driven Sahara Tent on Friday night. “I have these crazy-looking robotic cryomen decked from head to toe in blue L.E.D. and eight feet tall. They’ve got blue and green and red lazers and they spray the whole crowd with cryo, super-cold mist stuff.”
