Sound of Stereo is back! Well… They haven’t really been gone, but it’s been two years since their previous release on Dim Mak Records.

Sound of Stereo presents their brand new Unicorn EP containing a vocal and instrumental version of the dreamy title track, “Unicorn”, a straightforward club banger called “Rhino”, and a more experimental track called “Narwhal”.

The Unicorn EP is a text book example of Sound of Stereo‘s versatility and showcases both where Sound of Stereo is coming from and going to.

Out Now: Proxy – Shut Up!

Dim Mak is proud to release the next installment off Proxy’s line of “MUSIC FROM THE EASTBLOCK JUNGLES”, with this single premiere; “Shut Up”.

“Shut Up!” is packed with a brutal hip-hop vocal decrying mainstream pop laid out over the bluntest of beats, armed with weapons-grade bass and PROXY’s trademark, dread-inspiring atmospherics. The track will be accompanied with remixes from Dim Mak label mates GTRONIC and VCO. Belgian titan GTRONIC lends his heavy bass trash sound for a grinding rendition of “Shut Up!” crammed with low-end intensity. Los Angeles-based duo VCO rework “Shut Up!” into a techno-house frenzy. Closing out the release, rising Canadian star John Roman uncovers the pitch-black soul of “Shut Up!” and lets it unfold over six minutes of malevolent techno, while Belgian house duo Sound of Stereo unleash an equally dark and fully loaded house remake.

“An aggressively belligerent and totally dope single off the new album, dripping with raw, spirited hip-hop swagger” – VIBE

Autoerotique + Sound of Stereo + TAI = Live at Moonstar Studio, Bangkok

Tim Gauthier

One night in Bangkok…

Moonstar Studio will be hosting a one-time only show with 3 massive headliners; Autoerotique, Sound Of Stereo, and TAI! All 3 will be performing tonight from 8pm to 2am! For all our fans overseas and in the area, don’t miss out!

Video: TAI Down Under

Tim Gauthier

Tai documented his recent Australian tour. It’s bananas. He rocked college kids at the University of Canberra by night and ravers at the Future Music Festival by day. Whether from mobile phone or HD camera, this tour dairy documents everything from after hours partying to golf carts races. A funky Australian stage hand also makes his international dancing debut. An air cannon blasts Tai and the hosting club owner’s hair “left” (the air blast revealed their female friend was wearing underwear to which the club owner asked, “Who told you to wear underwear at my club?”) Dim Mak founder Steve Aoki makes a cameo on stage and at the casino. There is also a guest appearance from a llama… and possibly a koala. Don’t believe me until you see it for yourself.
