“IDENTITY” // THIS SUMMER’S TRAVELING ELECTRONIC MUSIC FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES THE HOLLYWOOD PALLADIUM AS THE NEW VENUE FOR LOS ANGELES METRO AREA SHOW SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 4
IDENTITY, presented by SKULLCANDY, will be relocating to the heart of Hollywood to take over the Palladium! Fans have communicated that the San Bernardino venue is too far out for the holiday weekend commute and traffic expected. The festival is excited to be in the thick of Hollywood for IDENTITY in its inaugural year.
Still happening Sunday, September 4, the show will feature performances inside and around the historic venue from Pretty Lights, Steve Aoki, Etienne de Crecy, Booka Shade, Pete Tong, Jessie and The Toy Boys, The Crystal Method and more. IDENTITY will be using for the festival area the main Palladium stage as the Skullcandy Main stage and the entire Palladium parking lot for the Rockstar Dim Mak stage. The Advent Stage is TBD at this time.

Miami New Times managed to get Steve on the phone for a Q&A while on tour for Identity Festival…Steve gives some insight on his live show, the Dim Mak stage, and the Dim Mak pop-up shop.
“Oh, yeah. On this tour, I’m debuting my live show. And I’ve been working on it for the last three or four months. It’s just structurally and visually awesome. The lighting and what I brought to the stage is something unique that I can only do on a tour like Identity.”

Since debuting at #28 on the Beatport Top 100 charts, “No Beef” has quickly climbed to #1. This is the first time Steve Aoki has made it to #1 and will be the first Dim Mak artist to accomplish the feat.
