A festival featuring the biggest names in electronic dance music is usually a destination event, like Ultra Fest or Coachella. But this summer the party’s coming to you: A cornucopia of acts, including Kaskade, Steve Aoki, Rusko, Crystal Method, DJ Shadow, Pretty Lights, Modeselektor, and Disco Biscuits are hitting 20 cities this summer with every niche of electronic music, from electro house to trance-fusion. Remember: Drink lots of water and don’t take the brown acid.
Tai documented his recent Australian tour. It’s bananas. He rocked college kids at the University of Canberra by night and ravers at the Future Music Festival by day. Whether from mobile phone or HD camera, this tour dairy documents everything from after hours partying to golf carts races. A funky Australian stage hand also makes his international dancing debut. An air cannon blasts Tai and the hosting club owner’s hair “left” (the air blast revealed their female friend was wearing underwear to which the club owner asked, “Who told you to wear underwear at my club?”) Dim Mak founder Steve Aoki makes a cameo on stage and at the casino. There is also a guest appearance from a llama… and possibly a koala. Don’t believe me until you see it for yourself.
Every once in a while you find an artist with ‘it.’ That star power that engages audiences and causes pandemonium. Even less often, amongst those artists who have ‘it’ you find an artist who REEEAAAALLLY has it and a lot more!!
Steve Aoki is the rock star of DJs, pure and simple!! -Club Glow

Whether playing stadiums in Australia, getting grimy with college kids in the Midwest, or entertaining bottle serviced VIPs in Vegas, you can count on Dim Mak founder Steve Aoki to put on an energy filled show. Regardless of where you are, you have a chance to crowd surf on a raft, drink Grey Goose poured directly into your mouth from the man himself, or mosh like your at a punk rock concert. Don’t believe me? Check out photos of Steve Aoki’s last trip to Las Vegas’ premier nightclub, XS.

Yes, that’s right. Dim Mak as in Dim Mak Records & Touring/Events, the company launched by Aoki in 1996 when he was a student at University of California Santa Barbara. While Aoki’s name was included in the original lineup announcement, the addition of Dim Mak is a recent development.
“The lineup for the festival is amazing and I’m excited to have a Dim Mak stage on the Identity tour,” Aoki said in a statement. “We have done festival stages mainly outside of America and this will be a crucial tour for Dim Mak to be traveling across over 20 cities in the U.S.”

|ABOUT DIM MAK RECORDS & TOURING/EVENTS:|

In just the past few years, Dim Mak has created its touring department in the same tradition of spanning genres and doing what feels right.
