Video: Steve Aoki & Sidney Samson “Wake Up Call” Feat. Michelle Rodriguez & Clifton Collins Jr.

“I have been wanting to take a different approach with my music videos. When I heard this track and found out that Michelle Rodriguez and Clifton Collins Jr. were interested, I immediately knew it would work. As you’ll see, I took a more cinematic approach and used the music as a score. Working with all the actors (including Steve) was amazing and each of them brought incredible energy as you will see. A big thank you to Michelle, Clifton and Steve for letting me push as far as I did.

As far as the concept, I’ll let you figure it out.” – Jason Beattie (Director)

Australia fans & friends, If you didn’t buy your tickets in time for Future Music Fest there is still a chance to party… Check out the sideshow dates at

With news just arriving that both the Perth and Sydney legs of this month’s massive Future Music Festival have sold out their ticket allocations there’s now some news on some sideshow activity from one of the festival’s party-starting DJs, Steve Aoki.

When the Dim Mak DJ spoke to inthemix he told us that as well as the festival he would be spinning out on his sideshow adventures with ‘club sets and after parties’ and today the word is out that Aoki will be taking over Villa on Wednesday the 9th of March. Nothing like some mid-week raving to get the blood pumping.

Joining him for the night of big electro beats and stage-diving antics will be a fellow Dim Mak acolyte and Future Music Festival artist in Tai. Better still, local support will come from Audageous, Dorcia DJs and Jus Haus.

You can get tickets for the bash from Moshtix now and for an indication of how the gig will go just check out the gallery from Steve Aoki’s last visit to Perth’s clubs below. – inthemix

So check out the website and get your dates in order and your tickets purchased!
