Felix Cartal Teases “Domo” A Little Bit More…

Tim Gauthier

Felix Cartal’s followup single to “Don’t Turn On The Lights” has been floating with anticipation across the social media clouds for a few weeks now. With only partial edits being playing at Felix’s shows, the closest he’s come to playing the official track was in the “Domo Teaser Video“, uploaded earlier this week. Since most of you we’re cut-off at the drop, Felix has uploaded a longer snippet of the track, showing off it’s strength in this 1:30-minute preview:

Felix Cartal relinquishes a partial clip to his Number 2 single off the coming LP, “Different Faces”. A few weeks prior, Felix asked his fans to send in a 5-second video clip screaming “Domo”! Thanks to all the awesome submissions, you are now focal point to the teaser premiere to the upcoming single, out for release on Beatport February 7th, 2012.

“I have been wanting to take a different approach with my music videos. When I heard this track and found out that Michelle Rodriguez and Clifton Collins Jr. were interested, I immediately knew it would work. As you’ll see, I took a more cinematic approach and used the music as a score. Working with all the actors (including Steve) was amazing and each of them brought incredible energy as you will see. A big thank you to Michelle, Clifton and Steve for letting me push as far as I did.

As far as the concept, I’ll let you figure it out.” – Jason Beattie (Director)

AUTOEROTIQUE stores electro, techno, house, Dutch house, Dutch-colonial house, rave, rock, rave- rock, indie-rock and even ska on speed dial and calls them up frequently. Their effortlessly protean, shape-shifting sound can careen wildly from project to project, so it’s not unexpected to hear them transform from Dutch house to, say, Norwegian black metal on the same record – thus, earning them the lazily au courant nick name “Autobots” (currently TM’d by Hasbro so don’t pass it on!).
