#FreeFriday Episode No. 090: Fefe Dobson – Legacy (Klever Remix Feat. Yelawolf)

1920 1080 Tim Gauthier

Today’s #FreeFriday is a tune with a story… Fefe Dobson created “Legacy” and showed it to Klever and Yelawolf in a cab in New York. Klever asked if he could get the stems, and he set out to create a remix that would resonate within today¹s current state of music. He particularly felt pressure to create something amazing for his friend¹s girlfriend, inspiring him to put in extra effort. After a week or so, Klever presented the finished product to both Fefe and Yelawolf, who both fell in love with it. Then in Toronto, before a show, Yelawolf surprised Klever with his two verses.

Yelawolf goes in on this track, and completes a tune that will definitely amp you up to fuck somebody up.

For this #FreeFriday at Dim Mak, our buds Klever, Yelawolf, and Fefe honor us with this free download, a product of love (Fefe Dobson and Yelawolf are engaged).

Download the tune and find something to break.

Travis Barker and Yelawolf Get an EDM Overhaul in ‘Push Em’ (Steve Aoki and Travis Barker Remix) – Song Premiere

600 600 Tim Gauthier

Ubiquitous drummer Travis Barker and electro master Steve Aoki have joined forces on a remix of “Push ‘Em”, a track from Barker and rapper Yelawolf’s 2012 EP Psycho White.

“Travis Barker is hands down my favorite musician to work with,” Dim Mak label founder and veteran remixer Aoki tells Rolling Stone. “Whether it’s original material like we did on ‘Misfits’ or ‘Cudi the Kid,’ or doing this remix for his group. . . [Barker] has the best vocal samples to use for a stomping club record.”
