Dum Dee Dum cracks A MILLI!

May 1, 2014 Tim Gauthier Music, News, Video Tags: , , , , , , , , , ,

[two_third]Keys N Krates‘ “Dum Dee Dum” is one of those tunes that instantly gets stuck in your head, and with the official video passing the 1 million views mark, it is also getting stuck on your screens. Directed by Slave Labour, the video is a hilarious mockumentary that explores the Mennonite culture. In the video, the director visits various Mennonite communities and introduces members to current technology unbeknownst to them, including iPods, boom boxes, and more, all the while blasting “Dum Dee Dum.”

Off of last year’s SOLOW EP, “Dum Dee Dum” is also taking festival stages by storm this spring, with support from Skrillex, Carnage, Diplo, RL Grime, Flosstradamus and more. This week the single hit #16 on the US Dance Singles Sales Chart (as ranked by SoundScan), making it the only trap record aside from “Turn Down For What” in the top 20. “Dum Dee Dum” is showing no signs of slowing down.[/two_third][one_third_last]

Terms and Conditions May Apply

October 8, 2013 Tim Gauthier Video Tags: , , , , , , , , ,

Admit it: you don’t really read the endless terms and conditions connected to every website you visit, phone call you make or app you download. But every day, billion-dollar corporations are learning more about your interests, your friends and family, your finances, and your secrets… and are not only selling the information to the highest bidder, but freely sharing it with the government. And you agreed to all of it. With fascinating examples and so-unbelievable-they’re-almost-funny facts, filmmaker Cullen Hoback exposes what governments and corporations are legally taking from you every day – turning the future of both privacy and civil liberties uncertain. From whistle blowers and investigative journalists to zombie fan clubs and Egyptian dissidents, this disquieting exposé demonstrates how every one of us has incrementally opted-in to a real-time surveillance state, click by click- and what, if anything, can be done about it. Rehearsal Sessions: Keys N Krates – Treat Me Right Pt. 1 and 2

April 19, 2013 Tim Gauthier Music, Video Tags: , , , , ,

cuvm_KNKTreatMeRightCover_1-e1361326570656We all know Keys N Krates play by their own rules when creating their far from ordinary trap inspired beats. Well, we got to spend some rehearsal time with the trio to see just how they make the musical magic happen. The production of their latest single, “Treat Me Right” released on Dim Mak Records, started off as a jam session with Adam Tune on drums, David Matisse playing keys, and Jr. Flow mixing on the turntables. KNK likes to record their music like a traditional band, “jamming it out until something comes out” says Adam. Watch as they rehearse for their live performance of “Treat Me Right”.

Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo aka The Bloody Beetroots is unashamedly one of the most forward thinking musicians in the electronic music industry and his next announcement shows he has no sign of stopping. Using the team and technology behind Lady Gaga’s Little Monsters, Rifo has worked closely with US agency, Backplane, to launch the first full interactive social media platform exclusively for an electronic artist. The platform is effectively a “cultural-musical movement” which allows for artists, musicians and fans alike to join an exclusive network and share their music and art, and collaborate with others within the community.

Integrating YouTube, Soundcloud, and photos, Church of Noise is an online safe-haven enriched by the ability to upload, comment and share your own creations and have them exist as part of a congregation of similar minds. Its aim is to cultivate freedom of speech and provide a platform to be shared within a congregation and ultimately get you one step closer to Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo. Status will be awarded to more regular users starting their journey as a Rebel, a more frequent user will quickly be upgraded to an Advocate and once truly part of the revolution will become a Champion. The launch of the new platform takes place during the world premiere of the new Bloody Beetroots LIVE show in Australia, and will see the platform host an array of unseen and exclusive content relating to the new live show.

The Church Of Noise community started out in 2011 as a result of the same-titled track, originally a collaboration with Dennis Lyxzén of Swedish hardcore punk-pioneers Refused and The (International) Noise Conspiracy. The song holds a siren-call of strings, bass and lyrical manifesto: “…It only takes a sound to change the beaten path/It only takes love and courage to take it all back”… View the video HERE:

You can sign up to the platform: http://www.therealchurchofnoise.com to become part of the revolution.
