Steve Aoki twerks it out at the Dim Mak Pool Party with Keys N Krates for episode #26 of Aoki Files *MIAMI EDITION*. There is nothing ordinary about this toronto-based-trio whose sound is just as unique as their music making process…
The Earth is a precious rock covered in meat sacks (humans) hurtling through space at a seemingly unending spiral of universal epicness. But it’s not just us human skin bots! We share this gorgeous and strange planet with millions of gorgeous and strange creatures (and I don’t mean your relatives). As the saying goes, knowledge is power, and the more we know about the animals that help make up our ecosystem, the better we can learn how to coexist. Thankfully, the fellas at MisterEpicMann and Onkel Bernis Welt have graced us with two videos that demonstrate the various eating styles of some of our furry and feathered friends; this is like next level PBS Nova shit right here. After watching these videos, you’ll be able to go to your family reunion, full of people who think they are better than you, and demonstrate your extensive knowledge of how a kangaroo gets his grub on. You can take joy in saying “Take that, cousin Mark, with your fucking Doctorate’s! I can eat this salad like a goddamn rhino! Bet they didn’t teach you that at Stanford!” and then give him a sample of the Cheetah dining ritual. >Boom.
Meanwhile, during Ultra Music Festival, Steve Aoki takes a few minutes to “slow down” with dutch duo SHOWTEK for another episode of Aoki Files *MIAMI EDITION*. Steve hangs out poolside with brothers Sjoerd and Wouter to talk about dabbling with different genres, writing bangers…
Take a dive into the latest Aoki Files *MIAMI* edition featuring none other than PeaceTreaty. Steve and Josh chat a bit about the recent release of In Time featuring Anabel Englund, Twitter, Tomorrowland, and more. You can grab your copy of the remix package featuring The 8th Note and more on Dim Mak.

2012 hit a sad note for Crookers fans when the duo announced that Bot would be going his separate way while Phra carried the Crookers name as a solo venture, and we’ve been waiting ever since to hear something from Bot‘s solo studio sessions. And it looks like the wait is finally over; on April 9th, devoted fans will finally get a sampling of what sort of saucy sounds Bot can make on his own as he releases “Vamos / Go Down” on Dim Mak Records.
This is huge, y’all! Once you’ve heard this track, you’ll be totally salivating for more of what this Italian mega-machine can do. The sounds of “Vamos / Go Down” are completely unlike anything we’ve heard before; it’s like the dance gods took extra special care in forming a talent as refined, energetic, and absolutely unique as Bot’s. The teaser video below is reminiscent of the Saved By the Bell opening credits, but with thunderous beats and super charged layers blazing into your ears over psychedelic visuals. With a video like this, and a breathtaking producer like Bot, this release is going to be one for the history books.
There is no such thing as ordinary in the world of Steve Aoki, especially when it comes time to interview Dim Mak Artists. This fact rings especially true for the 22nd episode of AOKI FILES Miami Edition where Steve talks to Felix Cartal and AutoErotique and tries to get a word in edgewise.
The two Canadian producers, who recently collaborated on the completely insane track “The Alarm”, discuss what it would be like if they did a country-wide tour together (it involves a small hatchback) and who deserves the credit for making the phenomenal “The Alarm” (Felix is pretty sure he deserves all the credit). Felix and Keith both drop some fresh-out-the-oven information about new tracks coming up as, well as upcoming collaborations with other huge names in the game. One thing is for sure, when these two mega-producers get together with an extremely excited Aoki, the outcome is sure to make you do some ball grabbing of your own.
What happens when you pair the chief of Dim Mak Records with one half of Dirtyphonics during Ultra Music Festival? The most recent episode of AOKI FILES, of course! Taking time out of pool parties, stage diving, and epic sets during Ultra, Steve took Charly and Pitchin poolside to talk about their latest release, IRREVERENCE, and the massive Irreverence Tour that kicked off March 27th.
As if the recent release of the game changing album IRREVERENCE wasn’t mind blowing enough, the French quartet kicks off a three month bus tour spanning the United States and Canada, including stops at both weekends of Coachella. Not only will they make it raver-rain with the sensational tracks from IRREVERENCE, they are also revealing brand spankin’ new stage production that is sure to accentuate their already striking, unforgettable sounds.
If you’re looking to have your ear drums blasted and your mind electrified this summer, the IRREVERENCE TOUR is a damn good place to start. Find your city below and prepare in advance to call in to work or school too #dirty to function.

Aaaah, spring time. A time for flowers, soft rain showers, and… GROUND BREAKING ANTHEMS? What?! This ain’t your grandma’s season anymore. Leading the pack of up and coming crowd pumping anthems to be released in the next few months is “This Record” by Jacob Van Hage and Billy the Kit, out on Dim Mak Records on April 2nd.
“This Record” is a heart racing, sweat inducing track that takes what you thought you knew about electro house and mind numbing drops and makes your knowledge look like that of a two year old with a toy piano. We’ve come to expect nothing less than pure music magic from the duo Jacob Van Hage and Billy the Kit, so when these forces combine as they have for “This Record”, the result is sure to be devastating to sound systems for the rest of the year.
Check out a sneak peak of “This Record” and start counting down the days until April 2nd when this scorching track can be yours to bump indefinitely, courtesy of Dim Mak Records.
